(0:00:00) – The Power of Obedience and Timing (11 Minutes)

This chapter emphasizes the power and blessings of obedience to God’s Word, highlighting how adherence to divine instructions can lead to protection, provision, and restoration. I share a personal testament of trusting in God’s timing and provision amidst a busy schedule, reflecting on how the Lord consistently answers prayers aligned with His will. We examine the story of the Shunammite woman from 2 Kings 8:1-6, who acted on the prophetic advice of Elisha and found favor with the king upon her return, illustrating the intricate timing of God and the importance of following His guidance. My sister-in-law’s insights from the same scripture passage further illuminate the significance of the woman’s faith-driven decision and the remarkable orchestration of events that align with divine purpose.

(0:11:06) – The Power of Intercession (11 Minutes)

This chapter reflects on the profound lessons from the story of Elisha and the Shunammite woman, emphasizing the importance of faithfulness and service to God regardless of personal circumstances. I discuss how the woman’s hospitality towards the prophet, despite her barrenness, illustrates her devotion and the fruit of the Spirit in her life. I highlight the power of intercession and persistence in prayer through Elisha’s actions when faced with the woman’s dead son, culminating in the miraculous resurrection of the boy. This narrative reinforces the themes of obedience, the impact of selfless giving, and the belief in God’s ability to intervene in the most desperate situations, reminding us to remain steadfast in our faith journey, even when faced with seemingly insurmountable challenges.

(0:21:48) – The Power of Intercession and Endurance (6 Minutes)

This chapter explores the vital role of intercession through the biblical narratives of Mordecai, Esther, and the Shunamite woman. I discuss the importance of spiritual warfare, emphasizing the necessity of prayer, fasting, and standing firm in faith to combat the challenges we face. Highlighting the significance of wearing the full armor of God, we touch upon the concepts of endurance and standing steadfast in God’s promises. The account of the Shunamite woman further illustrates the themes of obedience, divine timing, and the power of faith during adversity, showcasing God’s provision and care through the actions of His servants. We are encouraged to connect with true servants of God and submit to His word, as exemplified by the trust and faith shown in these biblical examples.

(0:27:49) – Obedience and Timing in Following God (14 Minutes)

This chapter examines the importance of obedience to God’s commands through the story of Elisha advising a wealthy woman and her family to leave their home due to an impending famine. I discuss the challenge of such obedience, comparing it to modern-day scenarios where a spiritual leader might instruct us to make significant life changes. I reflect on the implications of obedience for protection, provision, and blessing from God, emphasizing the critical timing in following divine direction. Furthermore, I address the broader spiritual concept of choosing the narrow path that leads to life, as opposed to the wide path leading to destruction. I underscore the message with the biblical principle that true love for Jesus is demonstrated by obedience to His commandments. The chapter also contrasts the characters of Jacob and Esau to highlight attitudes toward divine inheritance and the consequences of despising or valuing what God has offered.

(0:42:00) – The Power of Obedience and Restoration (8 Minutes)

This chapter focuses on the story of a woman from the Bible who, upon Elisha’s advice, leaves her land to avoid a famine and upon her return, appeals to the king to have her property and losses restored. I discuss the significance of her obedience to God’s word and how it leads to her ultimate restitution. This biblical narrative serves as a powerful example to encourage listeners to act in faith and obedience, assuring them of God’s faithfulness in restoration and provision. I emphasize the importance of adhering to God’s commandments and the blessings that follow, inspiring listeners to fully submit to God’s word in their lives for receiving His promises. The message culminates with a call to action for personal examination and obedience to see God’s work manifest in one’s life, reinforcing the conviction that God will deliver on His promises when we align ourselves with His will.

(0:50:21) – Prayer for Revelation and Empowerment (1 Minutes)

This chapter opens with a heartfelt prayer for the listener, acknowledging the challenges and decisions they may be facing in life. I ask for divine guidance and clarity to be bestowed upon them, hoping that their understanding of God’s word deepens and their relationship with the divine flourishes in new and profound ways. I pray for the grace needed to follow God’s will and for the blessings and mercy promised in scripture to be evident in their lives. Concluding with a message of hope, I express my desire for listeners to experience unparalleled joy and contentment through their faith, wrapping up the chapter with gratitude and anticipation for future conversations.

I’m so excited about this book! I didn’t want to write something that simply told about the financial miracles God has done for me. But I wanted to practically help others know how to have the same kind of results. So this book is a playbook. Just like in sports. It will have the story of the need we faced from small to the astronomically huge and how God provided every time. Then we will give you what I call “the play call.” After you understand the Biblical method that was used you are then given a teaching on how to use that knowledge. I can promise it will give you the tools to change your situation and to realize that “You Don’t Need Money. You Just Need God.”

and in your obedience to do it God’s way, you will find your protection, your provision, any inheritance and blessing. You will find all of it in the obedience. The restoration that you’re looking for comes in obedience. Make it your endeavor this year. Make 2024 the year that you made the decision to submit yourself fully, wholly, to the Word of God, obeying His commandments, doing it His way, asking for His instructions, following and heeding His warnings, doing what is necessary, upbeat music, playing the timing of God, the provision of God. Answers from God. I know there’s not one of us who, if we pray which I’m assuming that you do if we pray, that’s because we’re praying and asking the Lord to intervene and answer our prayers. I don’t know anybody who doesn’t want God to answer their prayers. This is something that I think we will all benefit from, and so I’m excited to go into this today with you. We’re going to be going into 2 Kings, chapter 8. I’m going to read to you verses 1 to 6, and I may pop over to 2 Kings 4, 8 through 37. 2 Kings, chapter 8, I’ll start with verse 1. And, like I said, we’ll go through verse 6. Now Elisha had said to the woman whose son he had restored to life, arise and depart with your household and sojourn wherever you can, for the Lord has called for a famine and it will come upon the land for seven years. So the woman arose and did according to the word of the man of God. She went with her household and sojourned in the land with her household and sojourned I’m sorry, in the land with her household. Why am I reading the same line over and over again? She went with her husband and household and sojourned in the land of the Philistines for seven years. And at the end of the seven years, when the woman returned from the land of the Philistines, she went to appeal to the king for her house and her land. Now the king was talking with Gehazi, the servant of the man of God, saying tell me all the great things that Elisha has done. And while he was telling the king how Elisha had restored the dead to life, behold, the woman whose son he had restored to life appealed to the king for her house and her land. And Gehazi said my Lord O king, here is the woman and here is her son, whom Elisha restored to life. And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed an official for her, saying restore all that was hers, together with all the produce of the fields from the day that she left the land until now. Okay, that’s just a fantastic, fantastic group of scriptures there.

04:00
But I want to first this is I want to give credit where credit is due. So I was just in Texas visiting my father-in-law for an early Christmas with my sister-in-law my brother-in-law who drove over to meet us as well, and we were having a wonderful visit. And I went in the morning one morning to go grab some coffee coffee place and I knew that my sister-in-law loves coffee. So while I was there I grabbed her a coffee and on the way back I was driving and I’m praying and I’m saying, lord, and these were not like heavy hitting prayers, these were my little talking to the Lord, prayers that I do kind of all throughout the day, you know, just depending on what’s on my mind and on my heart. And I said, lord, you know that the next few weeks are going to be really busy for me and taking the time to be gone, which I wanted to go and be there very much and it was such a blessing to me but to go and do that. But that also means that I don’t have time to do the things that I’m leaving behind at home. And I was even having to do with recording episodes and things like that. And I said to the Lord you know my timeframe, you know I’m only going to be home for a short time and I’ve got to get so much done and I’ve got to get recordings done and I’ve got to, you know, get studying done and whatnot. And but I said, lord, I trust you. You always, always answer this prayer. And it’s because it’s not just for me, it’s. He knows the word he wants to go forth, he knows what his will is, he knows what he has determined and what he wants to happen. And I’m just trying to line up with that. And so I always say but, lord, you always come through, no matter what it is. You give me the message that you want and you make sure that I have time to get it done. And I still get everything done. So I was, I was praying and at the same time I was thanking him because I knew he would do it. He always does.

06:04
And as I’m pulling up to the house and I come out and I’m giving the coffee to my sister-in-law. She comes out the door to meet me and she starts telling me about what the Lord has just been speaking to her through the passages that she was reading. It was this passage she was reading and she said you know, I was just pondering and thinking about those things and she brought out some great points which I’m going to make in a few moments. And as we were talking then, all of a sudden the Lord started downloading things to me, as she was sharing this with me, and I said to her I go, you know, it’s so amazing that you just said this to me, because one of the things that she pointed out one was that a man of God spoke to this woman and this woman actually made a drastic decision for her life based off of the instruction from the man of God. So that’s and I’ll expound on that and open that up more to you the other thing that she said was that the Lord you know, it’s amazing the timing of God, because here, the intricacy of time that is necessary for so many things.

07:16
God has appointed times and they are necessary times. And when we say yes to God, when we obey what we are supposed to obey, our obedience always leads to blessing, always, always. And so in this particular passage, and what she was saying, the Lord spoke to her heart was here. It’s amazing that this woman did this, but the timing of God, that right when this woman is coming to ask for the King to give back to her everything she had lost because of leaving for the famine, not only does it, is it the Gehazi who was Elisha’s servant in the King’s presence, but the King has asked him tell me all about the wonderful things that Elisha has done. And the very story I mean, the exact thing that he’s asking about, is the exact woman who walks in the door with her son. This is perfect timing. There is no such thing as coincidence in God and this is just the way it is. God ordained these things. So when she was saying that, I said she’s talking about timing, and I said, boy, even the timing of you saying this to me, because I had just said to the Lord in the car that, lord, I need you to speak your word to me, that you want me to have because I’m going to have only so much time, and I knew when the Lord was downloading to me as she was talking, this was the message. So he had literally answered me within moments of my asking and thanking him for it, using the story that timing is imperative, so I love how God does that. I want to encourage you with that, just to let you know that the Lord knew exactly. He knows exactly what day this message will be put on all media forums. He knows exactly the day you yourself will listen to this and he has exactly determined all of those details. So I say all that to.

09:21
Let’s now start to go in and talk about this woman. This Shunamite woman is an amazing, amazing woman. In chapter four, in 2 Kings, chapter four, we first hear about this woman. And this woman is. She’s a wealthy woman. Her and her husband are barren. She has no children, but this woman has made it her, made it her business, made it her, not just her desire. This is who she is. This is what she has set her heart on, and she does. Her heart was set on the word of God. Her heart was for God. Her heart was to know God, to hear God. And how do we know this? Because this woman said you know, there’s a prophet that goes by this way and when he comes by this way, I want to make sure he has a place to stay in our home and she builds a room for the prophet that, when he just happens to be passing by, will come and stay with her.

10:32
Now that right there, gives us a mindset that we need to understand. We need to have the mindset that I am ready when the word of God comes my way. I am ready, I have been prepared, I am waiting for the word of God. There’s no, there’s no wondering if I’m going to hear it. I have made room for it. I have done the preparation, I have done the work ahead of time to make sure that God’s word finds its way to me. And God parks here, he stays with me, he sits, he rests.

11:06
What does the word say? When Jesus came up out of the waters of baptism and the Holy Spirit descended on him like a dove, he abided with him, he stayed with him, and that is that’s my heart. I’m sure that’s your heart, lord. I want your word to abide with me, I want your word to live with me, stay with me, sit on me, be in me constantly, always with me, and if you ever have something to say, I want to have made room for you that you can say it and I’m ready to receive you, I am ready to house you, I am ready to take care of and and nurture the word I am ready to because this woman he was going to come by. That means he could have a place to stay, she would feed him, make sure he had his needs met, and she did so out of her own means. This was an offering, this was her, her preparation was her offering. And so this woman who had no son, elisha and Gehazi, come, and it’s not just her, because he had his servant with him, gehazi. And so this woman, elisha, says what can I do for her? She’s so kind to me. If you listen to last week’s episode, then you’ll know.

12:14
We talked about asking and getting our prayers answered, and there is obedience required and there’s things required of us. It’s not always an easy road. Well, this woman was barren, she had no children, and yet she did not let that stop her from going after God and doing what God had called her to do, and she used her state and and the means that she had to do that. And here comes this man of God and he says I want to do something for her. This woman evidently has and by we can see the evidence of it the fruit of the spirit in her life. This woman is so kind to me and she has given to me and she’s taking care of me. What could I do for her? And Gehazi says well, she doesn’t have a son, she doesn’t have any children.

12:58
And we find out that this woman says I, you know, he, the prophet, says I’m going, I’ve prayed, you’re going to have a son. And she says don’t do that to me, don’t trick me. I mean, this was this, this was a deep, deep, deep thing in her that she had come to grips with and either and either forgot, did her best to forget about it, not to not to dwell on it, not to think about it. There’s something very beautiful in this, because she was serving God and serving the man of God. Even though this woman had great need that was not answered, she held no grudge against the Lord. She, she didn’t not. She didn’t hold back from God, even though she may herself had felt like she was being held back from in this way. And she had a need, she had a desire, she had an unfulfilled purpose in her life, a dream that had not come to pass and this woman not having a son, she’s like don’t, don’t tease me about this, this is too personal, this is too real to me. This is too, this is too deep in me, this, this affects me too much, I feel too much about this, don’t mess with this, don’t mess with this. And he, and sure enough, she, gives birth to a son. So you think, okay, wonderful, god answered. She did all these things and God answered.

14:21
But then another problem arises Again. I’m going to make reference to last week. If you missed last week, go back and listen to it. Storms come, the storms come and there’s a narrow road that we have to walk. And she’d walk this road. And she remained on that narrow road very careful, very, very purposeful. And when her son dies in her lap, she puts the boy up in her room and she gets on her donkey. She doesn’t even explain anything to her husband. She goes directly to the man of God and she, gehazi, says you know, is everything okay? It’s well, all is well. She. And she says send the message to the man of God, all as well. But when she gets to him, she throws herself at his feet and he says the Lord hasn’t revealed it to me. I don’t know what this problem is that she has. And she explains what the problem is with her son. And Gehazi is sent to go lay his staff on the boy. And this servant doesn’t have it that the boy is dead, he’s not coming back to life, there’s nothing that the servant can do, even with the word. So the prophet himself and I want you to get this, because this is so important All through scripture we see the power of an intercessor, someone who is willing to stand in the gap, somebody who’s willing to make others issues, their issues, whether in prayer, whether by in proxy, somehow.

15:55
You know, jesus used the illustration of forgiveness by forgiving a debt that someone owed, a monetary debt. And you have. This is ways that we intercede for one another. We meet each other’s needs, we have interceded for them, we have come in, intercepted the problem, intercepted the problem and we have met the need.

16:16
Well, here comes Elisha, and he’s not just praying, he makes this problem his problem and he climbs up on top of that boy and he breathes into that boy’s mouth, he puts his hands on his hands, he puts his face on his face. I mean, he gets up and down and he does this more than once. This is again referenced to last week. This is asking and keep on asking. This is seeking, keep on seeking. This is knocking, keep on knocking. He prayed and he kept on praying. He did not quit. He had to do this multiple times and then, all of a sudden, the boy sneezes and he comes back to life. This boy comes back to life and the prophet presents this alive boy back to its mother. So that’s the history.

17:08
Okay, that’s the history of this woman, her tenacity, her faith, her unrelenting faith, her profession of goodwill. I mean, even when her son was dead, she is saying all is well, all is well, all is well. And she had a focus. I’m getting to the man of God who spoke this word over me. She was not letting go of the word, and the man of God shows his persistence and his intercession. I had a beautiful story again from my previous trip that I just took In our little Christmas time, my father-in-law likes to do Christmas by first reading the Christmas story and then we go around.

17:53
Each person is to share what they are thankful for this year and it really it’s a time of reflection because of our gratitude for what Jesus has done for us and in the gift giving of God for us, emmanuel with us. We share what we’re so thankful for and it’s always such a beautiful, beautiful time. And we started around, going around and when it came time for my husband to share what he was thankful for, he was sharing what he was thankful for about his father that even when, before my husband had come to the Lord, he was staying at his home for a time and my father-in-law would intercede for him. And he said my husband made us laugh and he said he would come and stand outside my door and pray in tongues. And he said and I know he did it on purpose for me to hear him praying for me. And he almost he wanted to take the pillow and cover up his ears and he didn’t want to hear it because he wasn’t serving the Lord at the time. And yet God heard those prayers.

19:04
And I didn’t get a chance to share this that night because I had something else to share. But what that reminded me of was now one of my favorite things in the morning is I sit in one room praying and I can hear in the office through the wall I can hear now my husband interceding and praying in tongues. That intercession is powerful. It goes from one generation down to the next. This mother and this prophet’s intercession went to her son and now, when we come to this story, we see this woman and her son coming before the King. So, before I get ahead of myself, I wanted to insert that about intercession, because don’t give up praying, don’t quit praying. I said it already, I’m going to say it again Ask and keep on asking. Don’t give up. Seek and keep on seeking answers. Knock and keep on knocking till that door that you are waiting for answers for you. God will be faithful to His word. He’s not a man that he would lie. He will not change His mind about you or the plans he has for you. Be one who intercedes for others. Be that one who brings an answer and brings help and brings understanding by saying I will stand with you and intercede with you.

20:48
Hi, my name is Jamie Luce. I wanted to share with you some information about a brand new book entitled you Don’t Need Money, you Just Need God. It’s a playbook for miraculous provision and I want to share it with you because it solves the problem we are all facing right now. The economy is going crazy. Gas prices are soaring, there’s wars and rumors of wars. We’ve got everything hitting us all at once, with interest rates rising. You need to know what to do, and so many times we think we need the money, but you don’t need money. I’m telling you, the answer is you need God, and that’s exactly what we want to teach you through this book. We’ll give you practical ways to know what to do and how to do it, so that you get answers. Now you can find my book on Amazon. You can also go to jamieloosecom. You can also find this book at you Don’t Need Money, YouJustNeedGodcom. This book is available today.

21:48
It makes me think of Esther. It keeps coming to my mind, so I’m just going to say it Mordecai and Esther. Mordecai is an intercessor of sorts, because he’s the one who helps prepare Esther for what she’s going to do. And then Esther has to intercede and fast and pray and go before the king, sacrificing possibly her life for her people, in hopes that the plan against her people will be thwarted and that they will be able to live. Intercession is so important, and there are things that we are called upon to do, to intercede for one another. I just feel such a strong urgency to make sure you get this. This is so important in this day that we live and for the answers that you’re looking for.

22:38
Some things don’t come easy. Some things come by real warfare. Real warfare, and our warfare is not carnal. We have to battle it in the spirit of God, and you’ve got to put on the full armor of God and you have got to really war in prayer and pull down strongholds and anything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. You’ve got to stand in faith. You’ve got to stand in peace. You’ve got to stand prepared. You’ve got to have the sword of the spirit. You’ve got to know who you are in salvation Folks, we have got to be able to stand against the enemy’s attacks, because he is not letting up, and so that means we’ve got to use our might.

23:22
We have been given what we need, but we’ve got to use it. We’ve got to use it. We’ve got what we need, folks. I just hear that so strong. We have what we need. It does take endurance, but we have what we need. Those who endure to the end will be saved. We have got to be those who show the world we endure and we will receive. It’s like the whole passage that tells us there were the valiant men of faith, and we are part of that. We are those who we fight until we receive what we’re waiting for. There were those who fought, not seeing it, knowing it would still come. We have to have that kind of faith. It’s coming. Whether I see with my eyes what I need to see with my natural eyes or not, it’s coming and I believe it. I stand steadfast in the promise of God. God cannot fail, will not fail.

24:20
Back to the Shunamite woman. So we see this pattern of this obedience and timing and endurance all through the scriptures and I want us to think about that question that my sister-in-law posed. Here she is, she’s had this miraculous time with her interaction with Elisha and she makes room for the Word of God, doesn’t do it with any intent of receiving anything for herself other than the Word of God, taking care of the Word, taking care of Elisha, taking care of the man of God. And then God rewards her with a son. A storm hits her house, her son is dead and yet God again, miraculously, by this woman’s total faith, brings that son back to life. And then, on top of that, here comes now time has passed.

25:27
And the man of God is concerned for this woman when he hears from God that there’s going to be a famine. Now, this famine that’s going to take place is the famine that we recorded an episode not too long ago about the lepers who are going to die because they’re such a severe famine. And this is the famine. This is that famine that Elisha is talking about here. And so this famine, the Lord tells them there’s going to be this famine. And what does the word and what does? This is the provision of God, because I know God sends the man of God. So there’s a couple of elements going on here.

26:11
This woman is connected to a real man of God. Who are you connected to? Are you really connected to those who truly are living a life consecrated to God that you can trust when they’ve heard from God, you can trust those words and you’ve submitted yourself to live according to the Word of God. That means you have to do that. There’s a lot here. You have to be the one submitting yourself to the Word of God. You’re the one who submits yourself to what God says in obedience, no matter what that looks like, no matter how scary that is, no matter how crazy that sounds. And these words are now coming to her through a man of God. This is coming through a prophet. This isn’t coming from God into her ears. An angel has not appeared to her. This is coming through another man.

26:53
So there is such trust and faith in this man of God that when he and I love this because he has so been involved with this woman of faith and watched her life and been a part of her life, and because she made him such a priority, when God sends a warning there’s coming a famine, elisha thinks of this woman and says I’ve got to make sure this woman’s taking care of. Well, what is that? What is that really a picture of? That’s a picture of God saying I care so much about this woman, who has cared so much about me and what matters to me, that the men that represent me, the words that I give, the words that represent God, that I am going to make sure she is still taken care of. This is still who this woman is and I am still going to take care of this woman and I’m going to protect this woman from this famine. So a word goes through Elisha to her, and that’s what the word says.

27:48
Now Elisha had said to the woman whose son he had restored to life arise and depart with your household and sojourn wherever you can, for the Lord has called a famine and it will come upon the land for seven years. So she obeys the word of this man. Granted, her husband does too. They’re a whole household. They’re wealthy people, which means they have house and land and property and I don’t know how many servants and what all they’ve got. But they are going to pack up and move at this man’s word for seven years.

28:31
Would you do that? Would you obey the word of the man of God? If your pastor came to you and said to you the Lord is getting ready to do such and such and you need to pack up and move, leave wherever you can find someplace. Didn’t even tell her where to go, just said go find you a place, not here for seven years. Boy, I don’t know if that challenges you. That challenges me. It really should challenge all of us.

29:06
Would we obey the word of the Lord? Because it is that obedience that is necessary. It is that obedience that is so tied to the protection and the provision and the blessing of God. It’s his obedience you can’t obey later. I mean you can repent and come back to God and ask God what you need to do, but there is a timing in God and the famine was coming. The famine’s not going to wait until she decides to obey. She’s either going to be hurt and heed the warnings or she’s not going to obey and suffer the consequence. Either she can obey and have God’s provision and protection and escape what’s coming. Heed the warning, therefore, escape the trouble and destruction that that would bring.

30:03
Being that she’s a wealthy woman and has land, the prophet’s basically saying listen, your business is going to dry up. There’s going to be nothing left. You’re going to lose everything. Stay here, you need to leave. And so this is a critical life moment for her. And they obey the prophet, they obey the word of the Lord. They obey the word of the Lord. You and I must obey the word of the Lord. We have to obey the word of the Lord If you want to be protected. If you have not been protected and you have found yourself in destruction again referenced to last episode you’ve got to listen to it.

30:49
There is a wide road and there is a narrow road, and many find the wide road and the end of that road is destruction. Few find the narrow road which leads to life, few will. This is so sad, but it is true. Few will obey. Few will actually heed and do what they’re told to do. We are so a society who says this is all about me and mine and what I can do for me. And I am selfish in nature as a sinful creature, born of sinful man, and I want what I want and I want it my way. I mean, burger King made a slogan out of it have it your way. If we don’t get to have it our way, then we just buck the system. We are rebellious and stiff necked, just like the children of Israel were the whole time after being delivered. They were delivered and stiff necked Folks. We as a people saved by Jesus Christ. If we find ourselves saved, but we are stiff necked, don’t be surprised if trouble comes. If the road you’re on leads to destruction, don’t be surprised. You have to choose the narrow road that leads to life if you want protection and provision and blessing and inheritance.

32:11
All of those things are wrapped up in obedience. In fact, let me give this to you what did Jesus say in John 14, 15? It says if you love me, you will obey my commandments. It’s that simple. You have to obey what he says. If you think, well, I don’t really need to, or I only do it halfway, well then I have a spirit like King Saul and I only did part of it. And what does God say? It is better to obey than sacrifice that his, that half obedience, stuff that I did some of it, but not all of it, is nothing more than rebelliousness, which is witchcraft.

32:50
We were were. What is rich? What is what is witchcraft? It is the conjuring of spells and you’re making your own religion and you’re doing your own thing, trying to make God do what you want him to do, and you’re making your own, your own sauce, so to speak. You’re not following the recipe and you’re making your own sauce and you’re thinking it’s going to come out the same way. It’s not going to. It’s not going to. It takes obedience to what God has said for us to do. I wrote down several examples, because this Shunamite woman and the like I said, the timing is is not only perfect, it’s imperative. And she asks Well, I don’t want to get ahead of myself. Here we go. There are.

33:48
If you look at Jacob, let’s look at Jacob first. Jacob is in one part of scripture. It says that I write down what the reference was. I don’t know if I did. Yes, romans 913 tells us that this is what God is saying that Jacob I loved, an Esau I hated. And we wonder about this because these are the twins born to Israel I’m not Israel, sorry, the twins born to Isaac and you have Jacob and Esau.

34:22
Jacob becomes Israel. What was the thing that God hated? What did Esau represent that God hated? Well, esau despised the Bible. The Bible says that he despised his birthright, jacob, and the reason he despised it. Why did he give it up? What was in him that caused him to so lightly care about or not? He didn’t care at all. He despised the birthright. We have to see this, because this is a way that we can understand how God thinks. Because we don’t think this way, we just think that, at the surface level, esau was impatient.

35:05
He wasn’t a man of patience. He wanted what he wanted when he wanted it. He was hungry and Jacob had made a pot of stew and he says I want it, I’m going to die, I don’t want to wait, I want it right now. Feed me. So Jacob says okay, I’ll feed you, but give me your birthright. And Esau trades his birthright for one meal that he’s not willing to wait to eat. Now, I understand hunger, but the man was not starving. The man was not starving. There are people who are literally starving. The man was not starving. He was a hunter. He went and hunted food all the time and made food all the time. He was not starving, he was impatient, he was stiff-necked, he wanted what he wanted when he wanted it and he did not hold in regard what was sacred. The birthright was sacred.

36:01
God chose who’s born and who’s born when, first, and everything else. Now, god already knew this was going to take place. God already said the younger is going to serve the older to the mother. Mama knew it, so she tried to manipulate with her own hands and make sure that Jacob got the full blessing Anyway. But we see, the timing of God is imperative because in this relationship of Jacob he has to run for his life because of what he does to Esau. It’s time to come back. God says it’s time for you to come back. And he’s terrified to come back because he thinks if I come back then I’m going to have to deal with my brother who wants to kill me. But it was on this journey of obedience to what God has told him that Jacob’s name has changed. God deals with Esau and gives him favor, and God does exactly what he promised. So his protection, his provision, his blessing, everything that God had ordered was in the timing of God. Okay, that’s in Jacob’s life, and I’m not listing everybody, but I’m going to list a few.

37:09
If we look at, then, his son, joseph, the timing of God is imperative because Joseph had to be in the prison, ready to be called up to interpret a dream on a very particular day, during the season that God had already or ordained was going to be a seven year blessing and a seven year famine. It had to be at those moments for the dream to make sense, for him to be in the right place at the right time. So we can look at the hard, difficult again, last week’s episode. The narrow road that poor Joseph had to walk was a hard road. It was hard to walk that narrow road and he was not treated right and nobody did what they were supposed to do. And this poor man is suffering the consequences of others constantly. But it was for his training, it was for his good, it was for his preparation, because he was in the right place at the right time to change his life forever the life of him, his family, their descendants and a whole group of people for ever, forever. The people of Israel today are alive because of Joseph, his obedience to do what God has called him to do, to live saying I will not do this thing against God. I will still live according to what God says I’m supposed to live like Obedience, timing it’s imperative.

38:45
I thought of Hannah and Samuel. Samuel could not be born. Hannah was barren for a reason, for a particular timing, for a very huge God purpose. Samuel had to be born at a time where he could be raised by Eli and then be able to stay and live in Eli’s stead, because Eli and his sons would die and he had to be the one to choose God’s man, david. So all of these lives and all of their time frames have to line up. So the hard thing that Hannah is having to go through and the difficult thing of being barren and the suffering that she went through was all in God’s purpose, so that Samuel could be born at a very specific time. All of these things are imperative. She had to go in and pray and Eli see her in her distress and think she’s drunk, when she’s not. She’s crying out to God, for the man of God to have compassion and speak on God’s behalf and tell her you’re going to have a son. It changed the course of her life forever. She didn’t only have Samuel. She had children after Samuel. God had a purpose. In every part of it God had a purpose and it was for her good and for all of their good, all of their good. This would affect her life later she wouldn’t even realize how much this would affect her and her other children later. There’s so much there. So now we see this timing.

40:27
Let’s get back to this passage. Let’s begin. I’d asked you the question I wanted you to meditate on. Would you answer the man of God? Would you do what God said? Would you obey, would you trust and would you act based off of a word through the man of God to your life? That takes some meditation. If not, why Do you really not trust the man of God? Is his life not showing the fruit of the Spirit and his call? Is it not evident? Is he a false prophet? Have you seen misconduct? Is the problem with you? Do you not trust? Are you stiff-necked? Are you not willing to obey? What’s the issue? Are you not in the church that God has called you to? Have you not? Has God been calling you out to be under a voice of authority? Are you someone who does not submit your life to authority? I mean, we need to ask these questions, we need to know why, right? So once we know all of those things, I want to show you the fruit of obedience, the fruit of obedience, the blessing of obedience. I’m gonna read this passage one more time Now.

42:00
Elisha had said to the woman whose son he had restored to life arise and depart with your household and sojourn wherever you can, for the Lord is called for a famine and it will come upon the land for seven years. So the woman arose and did according to the word of the man of God. She went with her household and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years. And at the end of the seven years so she’s still obeying the word the famine was for seven years. So she knew in seven years I’m coming back. And at the end of seven years, when the woman returned from the land of the Philistines, she went to appeal to the King for her house and her land. So she’s saying, lord, I mean this is the King, but this is us right Lord I obeyed and I have gone through great loss. I lost my land, I lost my home, I lost the fruit and the blessing and the produce of that land. For all these years I’ve lost seven years of income that I would have had at that at that home. So she’s come to appeal to the King about her losses.

43:13
Now the King was talking with Gehazi, the servant of the man of God, saying tell me all the great things that Elisha has done. And while he was telling the King how Elisha had restored the dead to life, behold the woman whose son he had restored to life appealed to the King for her house and her land. And Gehazi said my Lord, oh, king, here is the woman and here is her son, whom Elisha restored to life. And when the King asked the woman, she told him. So the King appointed an official for her, saying restore all that was hers, together with all the produce of the fields from the day that she left the land until now, so she not only gets her land and her home back.

44:15
This King says, and make sure that she gets back pay for everything she lost up to this day, so that she has lost nothing. Folks, if you need restored to you everything that was lost, if you need to have the the oh, what’s the word? I want back pay. If back pay is owed to you, if there are judgments in courts that need to finish because of things that have happened and that needs to come back to you, if you have suffered loss because of something that was uncontrollable to you and you have obeyed the Lord in your conduct and in your obedience to the word and followed his timing, did what he asked you to do, you have a right to appeal to the King of all Kings, who can appoint your full restoration. Everything that was lost restored to you, everything, your blessing, your inheritance, your protection and provision. It is all wrapped up in your obedience. You have a choice today. Oh, I’m urging you with all urgency. Take that chance of faith, because it’s guaranteed. Your faith in God, the God who cannot fail.

46:05
Now, I’m not talking about throwing up fake, false faith. And what do I mean by that? That means I don’t get to just say, well, I believe it’s. You know, I can have, whatever I, whatever I want, whatever I say, and I’m just gonna throw that out there and and I just believe that I’m gonna have that. I’m not talking about that. I am talking about, specifically, that God is calling us to do things and he is asking us to obey his word, his commandments, his ways. He’s asking us to do things that maybe are uncomfortable or hard or we don’t want to do them.

46:44
If you again last week, he might be asking you to treat others in a way that is contrary to how they’ve treated you, you may have to repay good for evil, and in your obedience to do it God’s way, you will find your protection, your provision, any inheritance and blessing. You will find all of it in the obedience. The restoration that you’re looking for comes in obedience. Make it your endeavor this year. Make 2024 the year that you made the decision to submit yourself fully, wholly, to the word of God, obeying his commandments, doing it his way, asking for his instructions, following and heeding his warnings, doing what is necessary to make sure that every good gift that you need is given to you. He will not withhold, it says every good and perfect gift comes from him. He will not withhold any good gift from you, but it’s to those who walk upright what is up right, righteously, according to God’s word.

48:00
Walk out your life in obedience to God and watch as the prayers get answered, as intercession is made for you, as the things that you’ve been waiting on begin to take place. Let this be the year God will not fail. I don’t have to worry about his word. His word will produce for you what he has promised. So I have no fear in saying that God will do it, because he cannot lie. But it is up to me to follow his instructions and heed his warnings. Do it his way. I hope this has encouraged you today.

48:41
Look deeper into the word, consider, self-examine and see what God is saying, and watch what he will do for you. It’s like that little. I saw a little Christmas meme. I’ll end with this. I saw a little Christmas meme of all these little stuffed mechanical gringes and they’re all dancing around and the person put music to it and it’s a woman’s gospel singer singing. Won’t he do it, won’t he do it. I can promise you God will do it. Won’t he do it. It’s followed on the heels of our obedience. We are in a relationship with God. It is not him using his authority over our lives to play chess with us. We are in relationship with him, we are partnered with him and we are endeavoring to cause his will to happen on earth as it is in heaven. Make that your prayer and watch what God will do.

50:21
Let me pray for you.

50:22
Heavenly Father, I thank you so much for every single person who is listening or watching this video.

50:28
Lord, I know that they’re probably dealing with some storms of life and having to make decisions and deciphering, and using discernment on what is your will for their life.

50:40
Father, I pray that their ears just seem to open and and their ability to hear you grows, and that when they read your word, revelation comes to them and their eyes are truly opened and they see you in ways they’ve never seen before, that their relationship with you just comes alive, as an empowered, in a way they’ve never experienced before, that they would know your instructions, god, and that they would follow them. Give them the grace for the task that is in front of them, for the obedience that is necessary that they are able to do all that you have called them to do, and may your blessing follow them, as your word has said, that your mercy will follow them all the days of their life. Father, I pray that that is the case for them today and that they will know you in a way they’ve never known you before. That brings them such great joy and contentment, and we pray all of these things in Jesus’ name. Amen, amen. Thank you so much again for joining me. We’ll see you next time, bye, bye.
