Why Waiting Seasons Matter in Your Walk With God
In this episode I picked up right where we left off last week, continuing the conversation with my guest and sister, Jenny Brown. If you missed the first half, I encourage you to listen to that one first. What we shared builds on each other and the themes weave together in a way that brings clarity to anyone who is in a waiting season with God.
As we talked about sowing seeds and waiting on God, Jenny shared something powerful from James 5 about the way a farmer waits for early and latter rain. I felt that deeply, because so many of us feel like we have tended the ground of our lives and yet see no movement at all.
The Chinese Bamboo Tree and What It Teaches Us About Hidden Growth
Jenny shared the story of the Chinese bamboo tree. You can water it daily, tend the soil, and keep it healthy for five full years without seeing a single sprout. Nothing breaks the surface. Not one sign of growth.
But in the sixth year, it shoots up one hundred feet in six months.
This image stayed with me. Some of you feel like you have prayed, sowed, sacrificed, and held on but have not seen anything change. You feel like the soil of your life is dormant. You wonder if God forgot you or if you misheard Him.
The truth is that the seed is not dead. God may be building a root system beneath the surface that is strong enough to sustain what He is getting ready to grow in your life.
Why Deep Roots Matter During Spiritual Drought
We also talked about Elijah during the three and a half years of drought. No rain. No dew. No sign of relief.
Yet God sustained him.
God gave him specific instructions about where to go and when to move. The moment the brook dried up, God gave him the next instruction. This is why it matters so much that we stay close to His voice. You can only know your season when you stay close enough to hear His whisper.
Sometimes we are in the season of the earthquake. Sometimes He is in the still small voice. Either way, you cannot afford to leave the altar or the place where you listen.
Do Not Dig Up Your Seed Too Early
This part hit home for both of us. Many people uproot what God is trying to grow because they cannot handle waiting.
They change churches when things feel dry.
They jump out of marriages when the growth feels slow.
They move jobs or plans or ministries because they think nothing is happening.
But all the while, the root system is forming.
God requires us to stay planted where He sends us. Seasons of slow growth produce strength. Roots that hold during storms are formed in silent seasons.
Sowing When You Have Nothing Left Is Where Miracles Begin
One of the most challenging lessons is learning to sow when you are in lack. Jenny talked about the widow that Elijah visited who only had a small portion left. God asked for something from her in a moment when she barely had enough for herself.
This is often where the enemy whispers that God is taking from you.
But God never takes to leave you empty. He takes to multiply. He takes to sustain. He takes to increase.
We shared personal stories from our family about seasons when God required our parents to obey instructions that made no sense. From selling a home to buying the next one, God asked them to follow very specific directions. It looked impossible, but the harvest came in supernatural ways. One man even paid the difference needed for the house out of his own pocket.
When God is in it, the witness of the Spirit and the joy of the Lord confirm it.
Listening for Joy and the Witness of the Spirit
One of the most important principles we discussed is learning the difference between happiness and the witness of the Spirit. Happiness is fleeting. Joy is lasting. Joy sustains through the hard thing. Joy confirms the path even when the sacrifice is great.
If something is from God, He brings peace and joy with it. If something feels forced or manipulated or empty, there is a reason for that lack of peace. Ask the Lord about it. Let Him reveal what is off in your soil.
The Body of Christ and the Power of Spiritual Connection
We also talked about the way redwood trees survive. Their roots stretch long and wrap around the roots of the trees beside them. When strong winds hit, the entire forest stands together.
This is why you need the right people in your life. This is why the church matters. This is why relationships matter. What you lock arms with determines what can withstand the storm with you.
Sowing to the Spirit Brings a Lasting Harvest
Jenny and I ended our conversation with this truth. Whatever you sow to is what you will reap from. If you sow to the flesh, you will reap emptiness. If you sow to the Spirit, you will reap life.
When you make space for God, when you prioritize His presence, when you obey even in the waiting, you will experience the kind of satisfaction that lingers. It stays with you. It strengthens you. It feeds you through the next season.
If You Are in a Waiting Season Today
Do not lose heart. God is not finished with you.
Your seed is not dead.
Your season is not wasted.
Your drought is not permanent.
If you listen for His voice, sow what He tells you to sow, and remain faithful, you will see the harvest. In due time the bamboo will break the surface, and you will know that it was worth every moment of waiting.

Get a free chapter from my new book!
I’m so excited about this book! I didn’t want to write something that simply told about the financial miracles God has done for me. But I wanted to practically help others know how to have the same kind of results. So this book is a playbook. Just like in sports. It will have the story of the need we faced from small to the astronomically huge and how God provided every time. Then we will give you what I call “the play call.” After you understand the Biblical method that was used you are then given a teaching on how to use that knowledge. I can promise it will give you the tools to change your situation and to realize that “You Don’t Need Money. You Just Need God.”

00:08 – Jaime Luce (Host)
Welcome back to the Jaime Luce podcast. This is the second half of a message that we started last week, and I have special guest with me, jenny Brown. That’s my sister, but you’ll want to go back and hear the first episode of this before listening to this one. So if you missed last week, make sure you go back and get the first half. We just had so much great material we needed to do two instead of one, and I wanted to make sure and not give you too much, to overwhelm you this way. We broke it up for you, but it’s really all great content. So you’re going to want to make sure that you hear that first one, because it’s really they’re individual items, yes, but there’s so much rich stuff that one just flows right into the other and we make reference back and forth. So please do yourself a favor make sure you’ve listened to last week’s before you listen to this one. But anyway, thanks so much for being with us today. And why don’t you join us where we are in midstream talking about sowing seeds?
01:11 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
All right. Point number five this is really good. Delayed harvest is worth waiting for. Yes, James 5, 7 says Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it until it receives the early and the late rains. And sometimes, like you were saying, sometimes our seeds have received the first rain and you’re thinking, okay, come on, you know, and God’s saying, oh, no, no, hold on. There needs to be a latter rain that comes on that same seed for it to have the full harvest. Yes, so don’t get discouraged if your seed has been in the ground a long time. That’s right, Especially to your point about the kids raising. Having little kids is a piece of cake. Piece of cake.
02:01 – Jaime Luce (Host)
Adult kids, they’ll put you on your knees, they’ll lie to you, they’ll hurt you.
02:05 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
They’ll put you on your knees like, wow, they’re great friends, but, man, they’ll keep you praying, so don’t get discouraged if your seed has been in the ground a long time. My mom shared this. This was another one of those pumpkin stories. That just seed was planted stuck with me my whole life. I forget she shared this years and years and years, and years and years I don’t know how long ago Our heads are full of those boys. Long time ago. And it’s the good old Chinese bamboo tree. And I did. I went back to the internet again. I did use technology and I said is this a real thing? Is this some fable that somebody has made up? That sounds good, spiritually, I know. And there was a few that said no, but then they’re overwhelming that, yes, this actually is a real thing. It is the Chinese bamboo tree. I thought it was the Japanese, but it was the Chinese.
02:48 – Jaime Luce (Host)
It is the Chinese bamboo tree.
02:50 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
So this Chinese bamboo tree seed has no growth for five years, and that’s with constant tending to it. This isn’t just planting it and walking away. Planting it and walking away.
03:08 – Jaime Luce (Host)
It’s spending you would. You would actually for five years. You go look at an area you planted and you don’t see anything. I mean talk about the amount of discouragement that you would feel.
03:19 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
The um, the seed is never dead. Yes, seed is never dead. Yes, the seed is never dead. I just and I was going to look it up and I forgot the Holy Spirit’s reminding me that, when I was preparing for this, god actually had me hear a sermon, and I forget who even was saying it. I forget, I’m sorry, whoever ministered.
03:36 – Jaime Luce (Host)
It’s not original.
03:36 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
Thought it’s not original, sorry, I forget what, minister, I can’t give you credit for it. Thank you for feeding me. Whoever you were, it might have been Kent Garson, the Holy Spirit yeah, I guess it was. Oh, I know who it was. It was Pastor Harry Saylor, precious man of regeneration, in Nashville. He was a Wednesday night service. I was listening to Love you, pastor Harry. He was talking about seed and I was like, oh, it was in seed state that was implanted and still brought forth a harvest. And it was some. They found it excavated something and it was in an old jar or something and the seed was like a thousand years old and you would think, well, surely decay has set in it’s any vitality or viability to that? Yeah, it’s not good anymore. They planted that seed in the ground and it grew into a tree. Wow, and I was like the power of seed, it doesn’t matter that. God can bring something out of something that looks dead, that’s been in the ground too long, that’s old, that you forgot about.
04:42 – Jaime Luce (Host)
Okay, she’s going to finish saying the Chinese bamboo tree. Yeah, but I want you to think about your life. I want you to think about the thing that you think that you’ve been tending to, the thing that you think you’ve put your efforts into, your time, into that you’ve not neglected. Because this is one of those things where, when this season of time however long the season is we tend to do this. Our human nature tends to think maybe God just doesn’t have this for me, maybe God doesn’t really hear my prayers, maybe I don’t know. That works for some people, that just doesn’t work for me. He hasn’t answered that prayer, and we can come up with all kinds of negative justifications for not seeing the results we think we should have seen by now, and to me, this is one of those. This is an important. It goes to the season of drought that we’ve been talking about with Elijah Three and a half years of complete drought, not even dew, not even dew, not even a chance of a water droplet. The brook that fed him dried up. It’s why, the Lord, it’s why you have to be so aware that in your season, whatever your time is that you’re in, that you never remove your ear from listening to the voice of God and you don’t stop your pursuit in prayer and being able to be in his presence to hear him. Because the Lord gave the instruction to go to this particular brook where he would be fed by the ravens and drank from the brook. And then there came a point when it got so dry that the brook dried up and God said okay, now I need you to go to Zarephath and go see the widow, because I have prepared to take care of you there. God will take care of you. He will sustain you in whatever place of sustaining you need him. If it’s in the lack of relationship, you need sustaining. If it’s in a relationship, you need sustaining. If it’s in a relationship, you need sustaining. If it’s in your finances, if it’s in your job, if it’s in ministry.
07:13
There are seasons for a reason, and God is intentional about every single one of them. We wouldn’t have what we know of Jesus without a wilderness. We wouldn’t understand how to fight the enemy and the temptations of the enemy without his example. We wouldn’t know that he was tempted in all points, just as we are, the same way that we understand and gain. Our victory of knowing came from a season of wilderness came from a difficult time, came from having nothing the fasting represents. There’s nothing to sustain you. There’s no food, there’s no water, there is no. It’s not just what. It’s not just what you can provide for yourself, because that’s why the devil tried to tempt him. You could provide for yourself right now. You could go, take matters into your own hands and make that rock into bread. You could take matters into your own hands, and many times that’s our temptation.
08:14
If you see dormant soil for a long time, I’ll go dig that up and plant it somewhere else. You could be in a marriage. You’re not seeing anything. I’ll dig this up and go plant it somewhere else. Come on, yeah, you have got to be so careful to know your season and if you don’t know what season you’re in, if this has caused you confusion, that’s why your altar has to be intact, that’s why you’ve got to be in a regular place of prayer and in his presence regularly. It’s in his presence that you will hear his voice. We haven’t talked about it yet. We’re going to talk about it.
08:47
But Elijah has to go to the mountain of God because he is depressed, he’s depressed, he’s exhausted and depressed and he wants to die. He’s in a tough season and he has to go to the mountain of God to hear from God. It’s like, and he doesn’t hear him in all the big, loud, boisterous voices and sounds and things that you would think that you’d hear God in. He’s not coming down in a pillar of fire like he did with Baal, he’s not in the earthquake, he’s not all the. He was in a still small voice. Small voice, that’s when you are quiet enough and have calmed yourself down enough to be intentional about.
09:32
I’m going to hear from the Lord, I’m going to go where he tells me to go and I’m going to wait on his voice and he will tell me. And if you don’t, if you haven’t gotten it yet, then maybe you’re in the earthquake and maybe you’re. Wait for the voice. Wait for the voice, cause it’s the voice that will tell you where the sustaining is. It’s the voice that gives you strength. It’s the voice of, of of confidence to know okay, this isn’t going to be forever. God he’s. He’s just encouraged me.
10:00
I know this is hard right now. It won’t always look like this. It won’t always be like this. We have to be intentional about that. That five years this Chinese bamboo tree sits for five years and you see nothing, not a blade, not movement in the soil, nothing. But you’re out there watering every day, taking care of it, making sure there aren’t weeds popping up around that, taking care of. Do what you know you’re supposed to do. Keep sowing, rightly, with your time and your attitude and and your resources to make sure that you are taking care of that precious seed okay, go ahead, man.
10:43 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
And we live in such a time. I mean, we think that when you said that of such instant gratification, yeah. We are in.
10:52 – Jaime Luce (Host)
It’s horrible. We used to think microwaves are bad. Yeah, no, it’s. It’s with social media, and every second is a hit to the brain. Yeah, dopamine.
11:00 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
And that’s terrible. That’s so counteracts, because God is about time and anything everybody knows Wait on the Lord.
11:07
You know, do you want a microwave hot pocket or do you want a homemade cooked roast? Right? Everybody knows that the longer cooked thing is better, the longer preparation is always better and it’s usually healthier for you too. Yeah, healthier for you too. And to your point about saying digging up your seed in your marriage, that is that quick, instant gratification mentality has bled into the church and we have people that just church hop like fiends. God has set you into a body and sometimes you might not be getting anything out of it at that time, like, oh you know, this isn’t meeting my need. That might be a time that God’s telling you hey, I need you to sow into this ministry. But so often if we’re not happy because I’m in the corporate world, it’s in the corporate world too. People just you know people used to retire from an organization after years of dedication and now it’s like, well, if I don’t get a raise next week and if I don’t have this and I don’t have the best benefit, I’ll go over to somebody else. We’re constantly pulling seed up and not letting it germinate. Get the latter rain.
12:17
Sometimes it takes that seed to be like the Chinese. God’s got a plan and a purpose and it needs to be in the ground for a long time before you see the end result. But then if you wait on the Lord, like we said, patiently waiting like the farmer for the precious seed to produce its fruit, then we’ll eat of that harvest, amen. So the Chinese Bamboo Tree like Jaime said, no growth for five years. Then within six months it grows 100 feet tall. Actually, actually, when I read about it it said if you can actually watch it growing, you can actually look at it watching it’s growing so fast.
12:51
The tree was growing. This is so good. The tree was growing underground, developing a root system strong enough to support its potential for its outward growth in the fifth year and beyond. I remember we’ve all seen it. You know storms come on the news and you see, you know video footage of storms and stuff and trees that have toppled over. What are the trees that topple over Is they have shallow roots, right, and they can’t. That wind that comes, the wind of adversity that comes on all of our lives. It rains on the just and the unjust. It’s life.
13:29 – Jaime Luce (Host)
Yeah.
13:29 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
And it comes. There’s another whole thing I heard another thing about just this week. I forget who was preaching that. Oh, it was Pastor Kent Christmas at Regeneration Nashville about the biosphere. That was an experiment and that they’d gone in there and engineered it and everything grew really fast in this controlled environment. Yeah, but then it they had this immense growth in specific these specific trees, and then the trees were literally bending over halfway on. Their stock would bend over and they couldn’t bear the weight of their own growth. Come on, that’s for somebody. They couldn’t bear the weight of their own growth because they were only anchored to the structure of the biosphere. They didn’t have a root system that went deep into the ground to sustain that growth.
14:16
And sometimes you can see people that I’ve seen this over, tragically, over and over again that somebody has a gifting and a calling and they’ve got charisma and they’ve got a big personality and they can gather a big following really quickly. And I always get nervous and we tell I remember telling the youth this all the time your character, charisma will get you there and character will keep you there, right, because if you don’t have a root system and you have fast growth, you will just bend and fall under the weight of that thing. And so the Chinese bamboo tree, it looks like that. And you know it’s hard planning a church, it’s hard planning a ministry, it’s hard planning a family. That’s a long game, that’s a marathon, that’s not a sprint, you know. And so you can see like there’s years of unfruitfulness and then all of a sudden there comes the harvest.
15:06
So be patient. Be patient over that seed. If God told you to put it in there God is not a man that he’s on you cannot lie what you sow, you will reap. And so if he’s telling you to put that plant there, that seed there, then you will reap a harvest. Amen, amen. So delayed but multiplied harvest, I love this. You will always reap what you sow. We know, like to your point you said earlier you don’t also plant. You know the seed. You said that the fruit is seed bearing in itself. Right Inside, an apple isn’t orange seeds, it’s fruit bearing. So what you?
15:42 – Jaime Luce (Host)
reap. An apple is actually a tree, not another apple.
15:44 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
Yeah, I mean, you got a lot of potential there, yeah, so you will reap what you sow, yes, but you will reap more than you sow.
15:53 – Jaime Luce (Host)
Yes.
15:54 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
And you will reap later than you sow.
15:57 – Jaime Luce (Host)
Yeah.
15:57 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
You do not reap and harvest a week later, that’s right. There’s always a season that it has to germinate, that’s right. There’s always a season that it has to germinate, that’s right. So so good. So our last point is dedicated. Scene 1 Kings 17, 13, elijah, so cool. That’s why I said oh God really is tying this whole thing together, it’s great. And they say I love it when a plan comes together. Yeah, that’s good.
16:20 – Jaime Luce (Host)
Elijah said we have a little time out there with us. And who’s famous for saying?
16:27 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
that the OGA team. We’re the OGA team, Not the redo one. Oh, there’s a redo. Oh, they did a whole. There was a new movie out a couple years ago.
16:34
I was like ah, that’s not the same A-Team, mr DA. Yeah, that’s right, og, everything. Og is better. See, it is Elijah said to her. Don’t be afraid, go home and do as you have said, but first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me and then make some for yourself and for your son. This is when I think sowing is the most challenging is when you’re sowing from a place of need. It’s one thing when you have an abundance of something and you can just bless somebody, and it’s great, and you feel like God’s saying yes, you know, give a Pentecostal handshake, as we still do in our church, which I love, you know, just certain times, bless this family, and you’re so. You’re so sometimes, and praise God. Sometimes you have such an overflow, you’re so. You’re so sometimes and praise God, sometimes you have such an overflow, you’re so you’re thankful for the overflow that you’re so happy to give. Right, thank you, god. The joy is in the overflow.
17:35
Yeah yeah, yeah, he gives seed to the sower. So if you’re when you’re a sower, you’re like, oh, praise God, I’ve got seed to sow and you’re so happy to do it, yeah, and it’s still that’s still obedience, yeah, and that’s still is blessed.
17:48
Yeah, it’s great. Yeah, it’s great, you’re so into this, so insane, and yeah anyway. So I side note. So I was, uh, I’m so excited about this, so, uh, uh jaime knows this but I’ve been on a hot pursuit for revival for about three years now and it’s just been. It’s been a lot of sowing, but I know I’m gonna going to reap a massive harvest. I’m so excited.
18:05
So I felt called to go to—we have monthly prayer at the church, which is a group, you know corporate prayer. But I was feeling I just want to get alone in the church building. I love really loud, worship Loud, and so I thought I can turn the music up like just ear-popping loud and just worship God as loud as I want and pray. And so I did, and so I had my FaceTime. My husband had to turn the soundboard on and I got it on and that the rafters were shaking. I had it so loud in there with all my favorite worship music. And at one point I walked around the sanctuary and I felt prompted to the Lord to do this and I held up a bag of seed, not even knowing this before I did this, and I just threw seed, just in the act of doing it, all over the sanctuary. Just said, lord, seeds of revival, seeds of harvest, all over this place. So I’m excited to see what harvest. I just thought of that right now.
18:55 – Jaime Luce (Host)
So anyway, yeah, amen.
18:57 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
But so the hardest time to sow seed, though, is when you have lack and when you’re thinking I already don’t have enough. God and the enemy will come in and be like see, god, he’s taking what you don’t already have. He’s not trying to bless you, he’s just taken from you. God will not meet your needs and he, he does that so often and um so, but that’s when we have to be really obedient, like you were saying constantly. Have your ear, and you might be in a season of drought. It might might be so. You know the Old West. There’s tumbleweeds and cow skulls laying there, dead, nothing, valley of dry bones. It’s so bad, the bones are dry, and you might be in that season of drought and God’s saying I need you to sow, and it’s so counterintuitive to our flesh and counterintuitive to everything that we think. You know how do I tithe and give God 10% when my hundred isn’t even enough to pay my bills? You know my heart goes out to single moms that are working trying to get.
19:55
You know, keep their kids fed and keep the roof over their heads, and kids that are growing and they’re needing clothes. And I just bought you clothes and they’re already. I mean you know, I mean it’s a very real thing and God’s saying but I need you to sow, man, so don’t look at your field right now. Look at sow with the field that you want to reap in, that you want to be in, that you want to be the sower, you want to be the one that gets to bless.
20:20
And so the spirit reminded me of a story of when mom and dad we lived in Diamond Bar at the time and they were going to be selling their house, and it was the house that we grew up in and we were moving to a larger home I think we were junior high, high school age, somewhere around there and they found the home they wanted, but God had told them two things the homes they wanted and. And. But god had told them two things um, well, yeah, that, yes, this was a good house, but you can’t spend more than this amount of money. I don’t remember how much it was.
20:51 – Jaime Luce (Host)
Yeah, he gave him he gave a very specific dollar.
20:54 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
Yeah, you cannot spend, do not go over this dollar amount. And and said if you do, the mortgage will always be on you. Right, but if you listen to me and do it according to me, the mortgage will always be on me. Yes, and, but if you listen to me and do it according to me, the mortgage will always be on me.
21:06 – Jaime Luce (Host)
Yes.
21:07 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
And so they knew that and my mom and dad are legit, so they like nope, that’s what God said, or we’re going to be obedient. So they found this house and it was more than what they the number that God had given them Simultaneously at the time that they were doing this house hunt. It was, I believe it was heading into the Easter season that they were doing this house hunt. It was, I believe it was heading into the Easter season, and the church that we were attending, very large church that had large productions for both Easter and Christmas and my mom I joke and say she’s very much a thespian, she loves, she’s dramatic, yeah, she’s awesome at it and she can make you laugh and cry and she’s awesome, Do all the voices, Do all the voices and memorize pages and pages of stuff. So she was supposed to be in it like always, you know, and so she just felt like and she worked full time and she always taught, yeah.
21:54 – Jaime Luce (Host)
She was. She worked in the corporate world, so she had a high stakes job as well.
21:59 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
Yeah, and she always has always been a Bible teacher. She’s phenomenal Bible teacher, probably my favorite Bible teacher on the planet, and she always has always been a bible teacher. She’s phenomenal bible teacher, probably my favorite bible teacher on the planet, um, and she always has a class that’s like a small church, you know, and so she’s always studying for that and praying herself and and so she’s she’s busy lady and so she felt, you know I, you know I’ve got this whole thing going and it rightfully so. I’m trying to you know everybody has to know to pack up your house and move and have it clean, for people to come and look at your house and trying to think about moving and and uproot and all that and, uh, so to that, I’m just not going to participate, uh, in this, this drama this time, um, and I’ll just cause I can’t sell the house on top of everything else and be doing rehearsals and memorizing lines and everything else.
22:40
And the Lord said you take care of my house and I will take care of your house. Yeah, and that was the seed she was to sow and she didn’t have the time. Yeah, I don’t have time for this. I don’t have time to God to make you a priority right now because I’ve got other things that are going on. And she was obedient to the voice of the Lord. She did the play, the drama, and when it came time to buy that home, at the same time they knew we can’t spend more than this. And the realtor I said it was so funny. I don’t know where this gentleman’s at today, but he has become a household name. If anybody says Larry, we know because we know the story. Our parents lived this out, bless their hearts and they just told him or said we’re so sorry. And it was like y’all, it was like $2,000 different. Like y’all, it was like $2,000 different.
23:28 – Jaime Luce (Host)
It wasn’t like it was only $2,000. Yeah, it literally was $2,000.
23:31 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
Yeah, Like that’s.
23:32 – Jaime Luce (Host)
Over the price it’s like five and you know, over a 30-year loan. Yeah, what was that?
23:40 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
$5,000 a month. $2,000 a month. It’s nothing. It’s nothing Like. Who would think, yeah, like, and the realtor couldn’t believe it was like it’s two thousand dollars. What’s what’s the problem? Yeah, and they’re like, sorry, they just knew if I do, this mortgage is on me. But if I listen to, he knew the sincerity of their hearts.
23:59 – Jaime Luce (Host)
He didn’t look at them as, like weird religious people, he didn’t understand. He wasn’t a Christian, but he didn’t. He knew they were. They were solid people and he was trying to figure this out.
24:19 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
And she was like I knew you don’t you know.
24:22 – Jaime Luce (Host)
My mom would say I know you don’t understand, we just that’s, and I know they can’t budge. And that means if we lose the house, we lose the house like we. They can’t budge and we can’t budge. This is where we’re at and the difference was two thousand dollars, right.
24:36 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
So the harvest that came about was larry black was so moved that he paid the two thousand dollars. Yeah, what realtor out of their own pocket is willing to have somebody help somebody buy a home? I mean, that’s crazy to me. It is crazy. And so then mom knew she didn’t spend a dime over mom dad knew they didn’t spend a dime over what God told them. They got the blessing. They got the harvest. They knew it was God. The mortgage was always on God. They sold that home and now live in Corona and their new home and God’s blessed them.
25:12 – Jaime Luce (Host)
You know, simultaneously to that story was the selling of the home they were in. That’s right and same scenario. They that before. So this is where the the mom didn’t pray beforehand and get the number to sell the house at. She thought we need this much in order to move to get to the next house. So they picked a number to sell the house at.
25:31 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
She thought we need this much in order to move to get to the next house.
25:33 – Jaime Luce (Host)
So they picked a number to sell the house at. They actually sold the house right away and that was a miracle because she knew they couldn’t afford to do a realtor to do this. They were selling it by owner. And she thought I don’t know how to sell a house, I don’t know what to do. And the Lord, the Holy Spirit, is so good. He just spoke to her and said just go get the paperwork from your old one and then you’re going to fill out paperwork, get paperwork from escrow and they’re going to do all the stuff you don’t know to do. But you, you just do He’ll, I’ll lead you through it. And sure enough he did.
26:04
The house sells, but she has zero joy when the house is sold. Zero joy. She’s like something’s wrong. Something’s wrong, jim, something’s wrong. That’s my dad, something’s wrong. Let’s go to prayer. Let’s go to prayer. We need to know.
26:19
Why do I not have joy here? We want the new house, we need to move, we sold the house and my spirit is devoid of joy. I should have joy in my spirit and void of joy. I should have joy in my spirit and sometimes you should have joy. We need to be looking for a right harvest, so you need to know where your harvest is. Sometimes it’s knowing. I should be having joy right now, or I should be feeling a spirit of preparation right now, or I should be feeling motivation in this and I should some. Sometimes circumstances demand a something from you and you need to know what that is.
27:00
She knew the way that God leads her. If this is God, if God is in this, I should feel joy. Yay, I mean, who doesn’t? We sold the house. You should have joy. She had no joy. Yeah, none so joy, was her witness. It was. It was the witness. We sold the house. You should have joy. She had no joy. None so joy, was her witness. It was. It was the witness of the spirit that we’ve done what we were supposed to do, didn’t have it. So they knew we’ve got to pray.
27:18
Well, when they prayed, the Holy Spirit spoke to them and said you didn’t sell it for enough money. You didn’t sell it for enough money. She’s thinking I didn’t sell it for enough money. Like what do I do? I’ve already told the man yeah, they’ve already sold it. I mean they said, yes, we’ve sold the house and the man is a single dad with boys. He’s wanting to. I mean. She was like I can’t call the man up and say sorry, but we’re not going to sell it to you. And the Holy Spirit said yeah, that’s actually what you need to do.
27:48
So, out of obedience and fear and trembling, she calls the guy and she just knows we’ve just lost the sale of our home. To her that means, because she’s a thespian, she’s a flair for the dramatic, that means there’s never going to be another house and she’s not going to be able to, you know. So the world is crashing down. She’s looking at her soil and there is no growth in my bamboo paddy area. Here. There’s nothing happening. So she says but I know I have to obey God. I’m in trouble if I don’t obey God.
28:24
Hi, my name is Jaime Luce. I wanted to share with you some information about a brand new book entitled you Don’t Need Money, you Just Need God. It’s a playbook for miraculous provision and I want to share it with you because it solves the problem we are all facing right now. The economy is going crazy, gas prices are soaring, there’s wars and rumors of wars. We’ve got everything hitting us all at once, with interest rates rising. You need to know what to do and so many times we think we need the money, but you don’t need money. I’m telling you, the answer is you need God. And that’s exactly what we want to teach you through this book. We’ll give you practical ways to know what to do and how to do it, so that you get answers. Now you can find my book on Amazon. You can also go to jaimelucecom. You can also find this book at youdontneedmoneyyoujustneedgodcom. This book is available today.
29:19
And so she calls the man up and she says to him I am so sorry, but we cannot sell the house to you. Why? Why can’t you sell the house to me? We just realized we need to sell it for more. We can’t do this. And she said, of course, the phone conversation went completely quiet. The man goes quiet and she thinks here it comes. Well, sorry, I’ll find another house is what she’s expecting. And after a moment of silence which felt, I’m sure, like forever, he said well, how much are you asking for it now? And she told him the price that she now got from the Lord. And he waited a second and then he said I can do that, I can do that. And literally, I mean, that doesn’t happen. Someone can be so offended that they’re just like forget you and leave.
30:15 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
Think you’re trying to pull something, yeah, and think you’re being just cruel to them.
30:18 – Jaime Luce (Host)
I’m just going to get more money out of him. But he understood that she was saying I understand that we will lose this and I’m so sorry to have done this to you, but the man wanted the house and he could afford it and he did it and he gave him that. And then the joy hit her spirit. Then the witness of the spirit was there. Yes, this is what I have for you and that’s what planting right seed does. When the harvest comes, you are rejoicing. That’s why the children of Israel would have their celebration and feasts at the harvest. You were celebrating. God was faithful. Here’s the harvest, and now we’re going to celebrate with what God has done. You should have joy.
30:59
Somebody, somebody out there this is. We had no intention of going here or saying any of this. Somebody needs to know, if you don’t have the witness of the spirit, something’s wrong, something’s missing. Ask the Lord about it. Ask the Lord about it and for somebody else, if you’ve got the joy of the Lord. And now this is where it gets tricky, because there’s so many people just want what they want and they think I’m going to have what I want, and so they think they’re happy with that and they have false what I’m going to call false joy False.
31:35 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
well, they might have happiness but that’s not.
31:38 – Jaime Luce (Host)
Yeah, you’re just, you’re going to. Some people are just you’re going to have what you want. You’re just determined and you’re going to have to come to the place if you truly want what God has for your life and if you wonder why it constantly comes up short and it’s not happening the way that you know that the picture that God has got for you, you know you wrestle because it’s not that and you just keep trying in your own efforts to do it. If you do it just like what the story Jenny gave about if you build this, if you do this with your own hands, it’s you who has to sustain it. You have to lay down your manipulative ways. You have to stop trying to control it.
32:19
We’ve talked about this several times now, so I know somebody is needing this. You don’t get to control. You have to allow God to have control. You have to surrender. You need to surrender God to have control. You have to surrender. You need to surrender. I thought about this and maybe this is the time to share this when you talked about the trees that were grown in the protected environment. They didn’t have wind and resistance. They didn’t have.
32:47 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
That was the conclusion of why did they not? Is because the wind is what causes strength to come.
32:53 – Jaime Luce (Host)
It makes the roots go down. There are reasons for your season of whether it’s drought or time, or there’s a reason why things have to go down. This bamboo tree shoots 100 feet the weight of a shoot to happen that you can physically watch with your eyes the growth, the amount that has to be sustained underground and the depth of the root system that has to be there in order to sustain that. We know this when we build buildings. If you’re going to build a skyscraper, then your foundation, you can tell how high a building is going to be built based off of how deep they have to dig the hole to build the foundation that’s going to sustain the walls and the weight of the size of that kind of structure. So if you’re wanting some little, you know, little corner lot of your backyard garden harvest, well then you don’t need the roots to go down all that deep. But if you’re expecting a real harvest, you want a field of harvest, you want things popping up everywhere, the root system of what you’re waiting on. You’ve got to have the time, you’ve got to nurture it, you’ve got to be intentional and you have to let go and be patient and wait on God to do what only God can do, if he’s going to send the rain in its due season the former and the latter rain if he’s going to bring the right amount of heat, the right amount of wind and resistance. The trees I think it’s the redwood trees. I could be wrong about the tree, but I think that’s. I think it’s the redwood trees. I could be wrong about the tree, but I think it’s the redwood trees. They said that if you’ve ever seen them in person I have not I’ve seen photos of people standing next to them. It’s a joke. I mean, it’s like standing next to a house. It’s ridiculous. They’re so huge, they’re massive, and they’ve been there for eons. I mean, these trees have been there forever. How have they sustained and grown like that? Not only did they have a root system that is extremely long, their roots are very long but these roots do something very particular they actually go to the neighbor’s roots and they basically wrap arms, and so when the wind hits, it’s not hitting just one tree and that one tree has to sustain it. The whole thing is standing. I mean, they’ve locked arms.
35:19
It is important that you have sown seeds in the right relationships, because when you go through those seasons, when the adversity comes, when the heat comes, when the wind comes, the Bible tells us the storm’s going to hit and the house that’s built on sand is going to fall. The one that’s built on the rock is the one that’s going to stand. We are put into a body. The scripture says that we are members fitly joined together. We are the body of Christ and you need to be hooked up to the right body. You need the right arms to be locked into so that they can help you sustain through the waiting, sustain through the wind, sustain through the drought. That’s what will feed you If you’re not in a body.
36:06
I know COVID messed everybody up and you got used to watching stuff online and we got lazy. Shame on us. We got lazy and we never went back to routine. We got used to doing stuff whenever we wanted and watching whenever we wanted and we made it all about us.
36:26
We have got to come back to the place that we have repaired our altars, and we are doing it when God says, like that scripture that I read you telling Aaron, you don’t just do church the way you want to do church, you just don’t run up here on my presence the way you want to irreverent and however you want to do, there is a way. God has a way and he has shown us his way in nature for us to easily comprehend, understand how he works. So I might not fully understand the vastness of God, but I understand that he does things in seasons. I understand that he has times that you do this this way and it will do this. He has a way of looking at our heart. He says I don’t want you looking at a situation and saying, well, I didn’t do that sin, but in your heart you did. He says that’s what matters. I’m looking at the heart.
37:13
So to the person who is struggling with surrender, you have to know, just because you’re going to church, just because, well, I did that, I know I’m supposed to do that, I did that, I’m checking my boxes. We are not. Our works are simply there to show the relationship that we have with Christ. Our works aren’t earning anything. Our works are not what save us. The works are the outflow. Your works are actually the fruit of the harvest. They’re the harvest. Your works are the harvest, they’re the harvest, your works are the harvest.
37:52
So if you think you’re out there and you think that’s your seed, you’re wrong. Check in your boxes. That’s not your seed. Your seed is the obedience. Your seed is the surrender. Your seed is the. What is God requiring me? That’s what I will do. It’s staying patient. It’s growing in the fruit of the Spirit. You’re allowing those roots to go down deep so that the harvest can come.
38:18
So we’ve got to be so careful. How are you approaching your seed? How are you looking at what God has given you? Are you a good steward? And there’s tons of parables about stewardship. You can look at how you’re stewarding things. Folks. This is meant. I’m not coming at you. This is not to condemn you, but I am trying to show you. All of these things do matter. Our heart, our intentions, our motives matter. Jesus said that you have, you’ve been praying and you haven’t been hearing an answer from me, because you’re asking amiss, you’re asking wrong. You’re asking for things to bless and glorify your flesh. It’s all about you. And he’s saying you’ve got to get the order right. I’m King Jesus, I’m on the throne. If anything is above me in your life, if you, even if it’s you, then you’re even. They’re serving you. You’re your own idol, or or you’re serving idols. You’re putting things before me. We have to set things in order. If you want God to bless and I said this, I think it was last week or the week before the first process is your altar. Fix the altar. Fix the altar. Rebuild the altar. Scripture says it was torn down. You had to rebuild the torn down altar.
39:43
Don’t allow the pressures of life, don’t allow the noise of politics, don’t allow the drought that you’re in, don’t allow the circumstance to determine your heart’s posture. Get alone with God. You can get alone in the quiet place. You can get alone in the sanctuary with loud music and praying your guts out, but get alone with him. Get alone with him and let him show you where to plant, when to plant, how to plant, what to plant. You know I love the first point with your friend who planted with intentionality not married, didn’t have what she wanted, and planted toward that.
40:32
It’s not wrong to say God, I want this. You can have a desire inside you that is a righteous desire, and if you’re not sure if what you’re wanting is righteous or not, that’s real simple. You simply pray Lord, if this is not from you, take it out of my heart. I want to please you with my desires. I want you to delight in me, in the things that I want and desire, because my heart is delighting you. That’s why the scripture says delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. He will put in you the desires that you should have.
41:04
There’s nothing better than wanting what God wants for your life and then God does it. I mean talk about the joy of the Lord. I get so excited when I know God wanted me to do something and I did that thing. And it doesn’t matter what it is, it doesn’t matter what it required. We did something this past weekend that together. That was hard Physically, it was exhausting. It was hard. It was exhausting, it’s hard, it took time, it took away from what would other things would, would have been done and rest, and and it was interesting. But I cannot, I tell you the joy that I had in doing it.
41:43 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
That’s what I was going to say when you were talking earlier about joy when you know it’s God, versus just happiness when you make it yourself, is when God does it and you taste of that. There’s a lasting element to it. There’s such a satisfaction that comes along with that joy. It just satisfies your soul that even something that you manipulate or try and make happen on your own, the happiness is fleeting. It doesn’t last, and that’s why you have to go to the next thing you have to go to the next one, you got to go to the next thing and we run around trying to find where’s that happiness.
42:19
But again, but when God does it, it just. There’s a peace that goes with it. When joy, unspeakable and full of glory, it’s a satisfaction that you can rest in it. There’s peace in it. It’s just, it’s so much bigger than just a momentary and that’s why it can be a hard thing and it can still be joyful. Yeah, it’s in the blood, sweat and tears, sacrifice, yeah.
42:45 – Jaime Luce (Host)
Yeah, amen, yeah, when God’s in it, yeah, it was in the hard thing that I was experiencing the joy, and normally that thing would not, that kind of thing would not bring me that kind of joy, but I it and it’s and it is sustaining it, it lasts, it sustains you.
43:02 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
You can feed off that thing.
43:03 – Jaime Luce (Host)
Yes, yes. And here’s the crazy thing when you do those kinds of things, you’re you’ll be surprised how much more of that kind of thing you want to do when God asks you to do it. Because you’ve tasted that. You’ve tasted and seen that the Lord is good, it satisfies, it’s like I love. When you said a roast, I said my favorite thing is to roast and gravy, like Thanksgiving, turkey and gravy. Oh, my goodness, I could taste it now, like I love that. Just the satisfaction. I want that taste to never go away. It’s so good, rich and savory. Yeah, but even that, even that I mean it’s gone. You got to keep eating it if you want to keep tasting it. That’s what she’s saying. You got to keep going to the next thing. You’re hopping to the next thing, trying to get satisfied, because the minute you quit tasting it it’s gone. It’s gone, it’s natural. But the things that satisfy, when you have tasted of the Lord, it lingers, it stays.
44:03
It’s why you can go through a wilderness, like Jesus did, and fast for 40 days because he’s your substance, like Jesus did, and fast for 40 days because he’s your substance. He’s the thing that sustains you. It’s why Elijah had to go and he went 40 days and 40 nights, but he had been given. Before he went, the angel came, brought him a cake and brought him water twice and then said sleep, you’re too tired, the journey is too much for you. Sleep. Fed him again, brought him some more cake Angel food cake Set it there and gave him some water to drink. And it says and he went in the strength of that for 40 days journey, come on, that’s it right there.
44:43
So you can do. You can do the hard thing. You can make it through this season. Yes, you can. You can make it through this season If you will listen to the voice of God and the instruction of God, if you will plant those seeds that he’s telling you to plant, regardless if you think that you don’t have enough seed, regardless if you think that the seed is too much of a sacrifice, whatever your hindrance is, just know that if you will be obedient, god cannot lie. God cannot lie, he cannot fail. Scripture says he cannot fail and he will do what you cannot do. He will produce what you cannot produce. He will do for you the way that the seed is in the apple. There is not just another apple in the apple, there is a tree. You plant a seed, you get an apple tree. You don’t just get another apple, you get an apple tree that’s full of more apples or full of more trees Potential for an orchard, yes. So you have to understand the way that God works. It takes time for a tree to mature. It takes time. This is the same way we have to know. Earlier, you made a point and I thought about this and I said, lord, if you want this, said you’ll bring it back to me. He just brought it back to me.
46:01
We have to be um patient in our waiting seasons and then we have to be intentional about what we do in those seasons. And it it reminded me of Paul having to bring correction to the church, and I wish I could tell you if it was in Corinthians, galatians, ephesians I don’t, I’m not sure, but it’s when he was telling them you’re so fed that you’re fat now with the word. You’re sitting here and you should have been teachers by now. You should have grown up by now, you should. And we get so complacent in our seed sowing. We don’t do the work necessary.
46:43
Jenny doesn’t like to be in front of people and yet she gives herself no joke. She’d rather be in the background and doing stuff behind the scenes. And she is just doing everything all behind the scenes and she loves it. She’s very administrative and that’s where her giftings are at. But she also obeyed God and she stands out front and leads worship every Sunday.
47:06
My mother is an introvert. She is like the queen of introverts, and yet God called her to be a minister of the gospel. So she’s always teaching, whether it’s a Sunday school class, if she’s bringing the word on a Sunday, if she’s visiting and doing a conference for the women, whatever she’s doing, she has to get up in front of all these people and do what God’s called her to do. Talk about a life living in surrender. When he calls you to live your life doing the thing that, that’s not what you would choose to do. Would you rather go home and be by yourself, the turtle back in the shell, but having to be with people?
47:43
And then people, when they see her minister, will say you’re not introverted and they don’t get it. I mean, they just don’t get it To sit down. She can get through it. I mean, she’s like Moses, you better send Aaron with me. I just can’t. You know, and she does, she’ll take us with her.
47:58
Yeah, you know, if she’s going somewhere because she doesn’t want to go alone, this is difficult for her.
48:03
The armor bearers yes, armor bearers, it matters who you lock arms with so you can sustain it, that’s right. So, but she does that. And then, as soon as she’s done, she says she’s like a wilting flower. Yeah, as soon as she’s done delivering the message, she shrinks back and goes back, and just to talk one-on-one with people is like it’s exhausting. Yeah, I mean, it just takes every bit of ounce of whatever she musters to do it out of her. That’s a sacrifice. And yet what has sustained her entire life has been the relationship she has with the Lord, because of her obedience to constantly being in his word and delivering the message, and it keeps her strong. She has grown into a mature Christian and if you want to be a mature Christian, you’re going to have to quit being complacent and lazy and sow the seed. If you want to reap a harvest, you’re going to have to sow. You’re going to have to sow. No matter what field you’re looking to reap in, you’re going to have to sow.
49:02 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
Jenny do you have any final thoughts? I don’t know how much time we have. I thought it was and I can’t believe I didn’t think of it until right now. The scripture came to mind is sow to the flesh reap from the flesh sow to the spirit, reap to the spirit. Yes, Back to that same point of what you being intentional with your seed. What field are you sowing it into? Or the person?
49:24
who’s hopping around sowing to the flesh constantly Right just constantly and that’s why you just have to keep doing that, and I learned that lesson to your point. It’s a joke that the worship leader that doesn’t sing truly it’s hilarious. God will ask you to do people, but we’re blessed and we hear it all the time, every week. The presence of God is present with us every Sunday, and it’s just every Sunday. I’m so grateful and thankful and we just honor that presence of God. And so you get used to that, because we’re so into the Spirit. We’re wanting God to be there, we’re making time for Him. We’re being in your house. We’re coming together like you tell us to do. We’re praying, we’re doing in your house. We’re coming together like you tell us to do, right, we’re praying, we’re doing all the things and we get to eat of that. There’s nothing sweeter when the presence of God is there. Oh, you can feast on that, yeah, so we have that.
50:16
And recently, for our anniversary, a couple months ago, kevin had bought tickets and I have been going to a lot of Christian concerts and stuff with the kids, with my girls, a lot of Christian concerts and stuff with the kids, with my girls. And there’s a couple artists that we like. We sing a lot of their songs in our services and they’re amazing because they’re like giant worship services. They’re just the presence of God is thick in these giant open-air arenas. It’s just awesome. So that’s what I’ve been used to, so that’s what I’m used to eating.
50:41
But Kevin bought tickets and it was for a very famous country artist that’s older now and so he’s one of the greats right, and so he had some opening acts and so we had gone to that and I’m not used to going to non just regular Christian, you know whatever and so we went to this massive stadium and this was like a big deal. You know, there would be all the, all the, even opening acts. All of them in their own right were notable names and I thought, well, this should at least be entertaining, for entertainment value you know, and and it was, and it was fine.
51:19
Uh, and we went to the concert and and you know the the gentleman that was the headliner he came out and then they did a finale and everybody clapped and they came back out and did it, you know, and then it was over, right, and they always tell you it’s over. Lights are you know? The stage lights went off, house lights came on. It’s done, it’s done Right. Yeah, and I had the most surreal moment standing there. It was just over.
51:38 – Jaime Luce (Host)
I’ve experienced that too. It’s like.
51:39 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
I mean, it was just so that was done.
51:48 – Jaime Luce (Host)
Oh, it was the life in that and the music was great, while they were playing, you could sing along and it’s like tasting the thing that you’re tasting and the minute you’re done eating it.
51:53 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
It’s gone. But I mean, there wasn’t even a residual flavor in your mind and it was just, and I just stood there like this is the strangest, because I’m used to being in a musical environment and it lit the and it lasting like we’re saying that that it’s the oil of anointing, it’s like on you, it goes with you, but it’s lasting, it’s got life to it and I just thought, oh my gosh, I go. No wonder the world chases with alcohol and drugs and sexual exploits, because the minute it’s over it’s over Because you’ve sowed the flesh Right. So if you will take the time and sow seeds, spending time with the Lord, listening to, even on the way here, I purpose because I love music and I purpose don’t turn the radio on, just pray and just listen to me, you know.
52:42
I didn’t say anything earth shaking, but I was making his presence in him a priority and I sowed to that and then I get to reap from that, yes, yeah, amen.
52:52 – Jaime Luce (Host)
I. I just know that this has blessed you. I know this has, um, it’s probably encouraged you. It’s probably convicted you, hopefully challenged you. It has challenged you. Um, our heart is to see you blessed, to see you living in the fruitfulness and the abundance of what God has for you. That’s what we want, and so we just want to. It’s like knowing when you tell your child you’ve got to do this, because if you don’t do this, this is what’s going to happen. We’re telling you, like mamas to kids If you don’t do this, you’re not going to be happy with the results, you’re not going to get what you’re hoping for. We want to see you blessed, we want to see you living in the satisfaction overflow and the overflow, yeah of what God has for you.
53:36
There’s nothing like it, nothing compares to it. But you do have to be intentional, you do have to be a good steward and you do have to choose. What are you going to sow to? And today the cry of our heart is sow to the Spirit, sow to the Spirit, sow to the ground and the field that God is choosing for you. Don’t even you choose the field. Let Him choose the field. Let Him show you. Don’t say I want that over there.
54:04
Just surrender. Just surrender and say God, what do you have for me, because I know it’ll be good. Whatever you have for me, it’s going to be good. I can’t even possibly understand or know, because I’m not living in it yet. I don’t know. So I trust the unknown to the one who is all-knowing, who knows it all, who has created every good thing that you have ever experienced, every good gift you have ever had. The scripture says comes from him, every single thing. There’s not a gift that you even have in your personality that he did not give you. There’s nothing that can profit you that didn’t first come because he gave it to you. So just surrender. You’re in good hands. You are in good hands. He will not let you down.
54:47
If you’re in a waiting season, don’t be discouraged. Just keep waiting. The time is coming. Every season changes. There is a season for everything under the sun. It will come about. Just be faithful with what God gives you. Let me pray for you. Amen, heavenly Father, we are just so grateful, even right now, to your presence. Yes, jesus, for the word. Thank you For your promises, god, you are so faithful.
55:15
Lord, I pray right now to every person who is listening to this podcast yes, jesus, that whatever they have need of today, whether they need sustaining, whether they need direction, whether they need help in the waiting period, whether they are tired, god, they haven’t seen growth. Whatever the situation is, you are the answer. So we, right now, we build an altar, we build this altar of prayer and we say, god, we need you, you’re the answer, we need you. What do you say, lord? I pray right now that you are giving direction, you are giving answers, you are showing them what they need to know. They’ll get a phone call.
56:02
All of a sudden, a door opens, father. You will have the right words, they’ll read the right thing. They’ll just happen to see it, they’ll hear it. It’ll be confirmation after confirmation that they will know the direction that you have for them, lord, and that today they will receive the strength of the Spirit we have, in this podcast, sown to the Spirit, father, I pray right now that there is a reaping of the Holy Spirit to each one who hears that they have sown in their time to listen and that they will reap, because they gave this time to seeking you, to learning about who you are and what you ask and what you do.
56:39
So, father, we know that you are not only trustworthy, but you are faithful. You are always good. The word says will not the judge of all the earth do right? Yes, yes, you will. God, you will hear and answer prayer. That’s what your word says. You will hear and answer prayer. So we lift these prayers to you.
57:02
Father, I ask a special blessing on my sister, jenny, that she was obedient to bring your word and that she sees a 100-fold return. God, we know that if we are planting in this life, we can expect if the ground is good, if we have gone to the ground you have told us to plant in, if the ground is good 30, 60, and 100-fold. So we expect that return, lord. We expect to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living and we will be so careful, god, to bring all the glory and praise to you, for it is by your hand that every good gift is received. We give you all the praise and glory now, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen, amen, amen. Thank you so much for spending time with us today, jenny. Thank you so much for doing this today. Thanks for asking. I’ve waited so long. I have wanted to do a podcast with my sister forever and I knew I just had to keep doing what I’ve been waiting for the time I was Seriously and I knew the minute I heard it that’s it.
58:08
That’s it. I knew this was the time and it was so funny. Sorry, this is what we do.
58:12 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
We don’t quit. And I knew I was supposed to invite you and it wouldn’t leave my heart. I kept thinking, because I had to invite her, I wouldn’t even have known it, yeah.
58:23 – Jaime Luce (Host)
And I kept. And that day you’d have to know. But God worked that day so that I knew, yes, I’m supposed to go, Not just, oh, that’s nice that she invited me and I would go. I knew the Lord was saying, yes, I want you to go, which was even more satisfying. So God was there all the way around. God is good. All glory to God, amen, amen.
58:43

And if you need any of the resources, you can get that at my website that says jaimelucecom as well. I’ve got blogs. I’ve got all the old episodes, if you need to find them there. If you want to get a hold of my book, you Don’t Need Money, you Just Need God. You can also get that there. You can get that at Amazon. In fact, so much of what we talked about, if you were talking about money you could find, and one of these stories is actually in the book that we talked about today. So if you want that resource, you can get ahold of that as well.
59:26 – Jenny Brown (Guest)
Like Evan always says, money’s not important, but it’s right next to oxygen.
59:33 – Jaime Luce (Host)
It kind of runs our world so it leads into everything. Yes, we understand that money is the mode in which the world operates, but you don’t need money. God can provide the money, but he can provide the thing you need without money. Exactly, my parents needed $2,000. They didn’t get out of their own bank account another $2,000, but a man paid for it out of his $2,000. It got paid. So God knows what you need. The scripture says he knows what you need even before you ask Amen. You can know he cares about you. He knows the number of hairs on your head. You are individually formed and made and crafted in your mother’s womb. He cares about your life. He knows the details and he has your times in his hands. So be blessed today. Share this with somebody who needs to hear it Like subscribe, get notified, all the stuff. It was my pleasure to be with you today. We’ll see you next time. Bye-bye.
