I’m so excited about this book! I didn’t want to write something that simply told about the financial miracles God has done for me. But I wanted to practically help others know how to have the same kind of results. So this book is a playbook. Just like in sports. It will have the story of the need we faced from small to the astronomically huge and how God provided every time. Then we will give you what I call “the play call.” After you understand the Biblical method that was used you are then given a teaching on how to use that knowledge. I can promise it will give you the tools to change your situation and to realize that “You Don’t Need Money. You Just Need God.”

[0:01:11] Welcome to the Jamie Lewis podcast. Thank you so much for joining me today. I’ve got a topic for you today that I think that every one of us needs a good reminder in as we face whatever might be coming our way. I think about what’s going on in the government in the United States. I think about what’s going on in the governments of China, what’s going on in the governments of Australia, Italy, Paris.
[0:01:42] : There are so many things facing our world. The change of king from queen to king in the UK. And I don’t know about you, but when it comes to the book of revelation and knowing end times prophecies through Scripture and the possibility of what is ahead of us, it can be overwhelming, it can be frightening, it could cause anxiety. And yet we are the children of God, and we are called to be overcomers.
[0:02:27] Now, an overcomer means there was something to overcome, but we are victorious. Jesus told us that we could be joyful about this, we could be happy about this. We don’t have to be in fear about this. We don’t have to be in mourning about this. We don’t have to be struggling with this letting anxiety and fear. Not only that, not only do we not want to receive the impact on our mind, spirit on our souls, on our mind, in our thoughts, in our anxiety and on our emotions, but we don’t have to and should. Not accept the lies of the enemy where we think that the things that are happening in the world have to impact us the same way that they impact those who do not belong to the Lord.
[0:03:23] And I want to show you this in scripture because this passage always comes to mind. It always encourages me, and I hope that it will encourage you today. I want you if you’ve got your Bibles, get them out. I want you to get a pen and paper. And I want you to take some notes because I’m going to give you what I think are seven of the strategies of the enemy against us and how our response should be to those tactics, that we should recognize those tactics and then we should act appropriately in a strategic fashion against those tactics.
[0:04:03] If you will remember the episode I did with Evangelist TIFF Shuttlesworth. He talked about the four processes of sin and how valuable it is to us to recognize sin in its infant stage. At the point that we peek at it, we just begin to see it, because if you’ll deal with it there, you don’t have to deal with it in its grown, mature state. You won’t have to battle it then. You dealt with it as an infant in its infancy.
[0:04:32] So we need to recognize the enemy has processes. There are things he deploys, and I have seen these happen so much in the last three years. These are like a playbook that is being used against every person. But we as children of the light should recognize the darkness and recognize the voice of the enemy and be able to rise above that, to stand against that, to not be moved by that. And so if you will turn in your Bibles to Second Chronicles, and we’re going to be looking at Chapter 32, and this is in regard to Hezekiah, king Hezekiah of Judah.
[0:05:17] : And King, hezekiah did great. He had a flub up at the end. And it seems like this is so frustrating to me. Most of these kings who were good kings, they did great until they were doing really great. And then when they were doing really great because they were following the instructions of the Lord, they sought the Lord with all their heart and then they get proud as if they did it themselves and they have a downfall. I mean, how many times do we have to know that a haughty spirit and that attitude of pride will bring down the biggest and the strongest of them all
[0:05:56] We have got to be wiser than that, folks. We have got to understand that every good gift you have comes from God. And we have to be those who endure to the end. We make it to the end seeking God. We don’t turn our backs, we don’t get arrogant, we don’t get proud and we don’t take credit. We give God the glory, and glory alone belongs to God. So anyway, I’m not going to be talking about that with Hezekiah today, not about that flub up at the end of his life. He did repent, but we still need to dissect the way he did so well leading up to that. There is still so much to learn about what he did so well.
[0:06:37] And I’m going to skip over the part of his beginning, because his beginning was grand, was really grand. They hadn’t celebrated a passover and he had the passover of all Passovers, and they even had to celebrate it late, a month late, because he had invited even people in Israel who were not under his reign in Judah. He sent runners and they were mocked. They were ridiculed for standing for what’s right. They were mocked.
[0:07:09] And we’re seeing that those of us who from the beginning of the pandemic, stood and said, god is greater than this. Serve God. Let’s rejoice in that God has given us the power over sickness. He’s given us his spirit and those who stood against it, those who refused to close their doors, churches that refused to bow, ministers across the country who said, no, we are not going to bow, that we are essential, that the body of Christ is essential to the saving of the world, and God is essential. And you’re not going to tell us he’s not. I applaud you. I applaud you. You are like the king, hezekiahs of the world.
[0:07:52] And it’s imperative that we understand what truth is, where to stand, where to align ourselves. Because hear me, folks, in these last days, we are told there is a separation that comes. There is a separation between sheep and goats. There is a fine line that is drawn, and you have to find yourself on the right side. And I’m not talking about division. I’m talking about find yourself on the right side, so that everyone who is with God, with his word, with his strategies, comes into great unity.
[0:08:29] When we’re called into unity in the body of Christ, we are not called into unity with the world. There is a right and wrong unity, and the enemy knows it so well that they get all their troops together. They get unified real easy. I mean, you’ll see way more unity on the enemy’s camp than you will on God’s side. It’s a travesty. It is to our shame. And we should be the ones, the most united. But we have to get united on the word of God.
[0:09:00] We need to get united on the ways of God. We need to get united in the deployment of what God tells us to do. So this today is really my clarion call to go out on how we need to be moving forward and how we need to see and address what the enemy is doing and how he’s bringing that across our path. So I think I want to start let’s see, I’m going to start in verse five, chapter 32 of Two Chronicles, verse five, it says, then hezekiah worked hard at repairing all the broken sections of the wall. Now, the broken sections was the fact that the King of Assyria had invaded Judah and he was trying to lay siege to them.
[0:09:56] So when King Hezekiah heard this, he built a wall outside of their wall as extra protection. So this is his first response to the king of Assyria coming against them. So then hezekiah worked hard at repairing all the broken sections of the wall, erecting towers and constructing a second wall outside the first. He also reinforced the supporting terraces in the city of David and manufactured large numbers of weapons and shields. He appointed military officers over the people and assembled them before him in the square at the city gate.
[0:10:32] Then Hezekiah encouraged them by saying, so this is how he encourages his people. And how many times have we heard this before? Be strong and courageous. So right off the bat, you cannot be someone who sits there and woe is me. This is so hard. I just don’t think we can do this. I can’t handle this anymore. No. Be strong. That’s a command. That’s not if you think you can oh, sugar, I know this is hard, but you’re just going to have to try. No.
[0:11:04] Be strong. You shake that thing off. You shake those emotions off. You shake that off of yourself. Think of Paul with being bitten by a snake. You don’t send them. Oh, no. What’s going to happen to me now? What am I going to do? No, what does he do? He shakes it off. He just shakes it off. Folks, we have to just shake off this stuff. The body of Christ is strong. Listen, my pastor has been teaching on praying. What? Jesus prayed for us before he left and returned to Heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father.
[0:11:41] He prayed for us and he prayed that we would be one and he prayed that we would be one together in Him and Him in the Father. And God gave me such a revelation thinking about this, and I might end up doing a whole nother episode about this, but when you’re one in Jesus, there is nothing missing in Jesus. Nothing missing. There’s nothing broken in Jesus. There’s nothing missing in Jesus. Everything is in Jesus. Everything.
[0:12:17] The Son of God, deity. There’s nothing missing. Perfection is in Jesus. What does that mean? There’s no sickness in Jesus. There’s no broken heartedness in Jesus. There’s no weakness in Jesus. There is strength in the name of the Lord. Jesus, the name of the Lord is a strong tower. And those that run into Him are safe, folks. Safe. No matter what troubles come, no matter what enemy fights you, no matter what battle you face.
[0:12:48] He is a strong tower. We run into Him, and we are safe. And so if there’s nothing missing in Jesus, if there’s no sickness in Jesus, what do I have to fear? If I have united myself with Christ now, to be in union with Him, to be one in Him means I have let go of my own agenda. I don’t have a personal interest in mind. I have God in mind, his kingdom in mind, his agenda in mind, his desires in mind. I have laid my life down.
[0:13:24] I have allowed myself to be crucified with christ, and now I am risen with Him. So that means I am in total unity with Him. When you come into the unity of God, then there is nothing that can stand against you. Nothing. All powers in Him, no weakness is found in Him. God alone decides. God alone has the final answer. God alone is the Judge of this earth. And will not the Judge of the whole earth do right?
[0:13:56] Yes, he will. So let me go on then. Hezekiah encouraged them by saying, be strong and courageous. So I’m telling you all that to say. You can be strong, you can be courageous, and it’s necessary. He says, don’t be afraid or discouraged because of the King of Assyria or his mighty army. So I’m telling you, don’t be discouraged with what’s going on in the governments. Don’t be discouraged what’s happening around the world.
[0:14:32] Don’t let who’s the King bother you. Don’t let those things frustrate you and bring fear into your heart. He says, for there is a power far greater on our side. There is a power far greater on our side. No matter how great the army is around you, no matter who the enemy is, it doesn’t matter who’s involved in the who, the World Health Organization. It doesn’t matter who’s a part of this elite group with Schwab and Gates and all the rest of them.
[0:15:11] Doesn’t matter what President Biden is doing. Doesn’t matter what King Charles is doing. It doesn’t matter, folks. A far greater power is on our side. He may have a great army, but they are merely men. Reminds me of the passage when Paul comes against the Church and he says, you’re acting like mere men, mere mortals, because we’re not. We’ve been born again, have the spirit of God living on the inside of us.
[0:15:42] We have the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles for us. Hezekiah’s words greatly encouraged the people. Take these words to your own hearts today, folks. While King Senecarib of Assyria was still besieging the town of La Quiche, he sent his officers to Jerusalem with this message for Hezekiah and all the people in the city. Okay? So I want you to hear this real clear, because I’m about to show you through this message that he sends, this letter of attack that he sends against the people.
[0:16:21] These written documents, the laws being established, the things that are being decreed and declared by those who stand in opposition to the word of God, okay? I want you to hear this because there are several things that we can recognize. That’s the voice of the enemy. That’s not a voice I can trust. That’s the voice of the enemy. And I want you to hear these tactics because they’re being used today, okay?
[0:16:46] And this passage that we’re going to go over here in Second Chronicles is also found in Second Kings. And this letter that I’m about to read to you in Second Kings 18 and 19, hezekiah actually says, because these men start speaking to them, they’re even speaking in Hebrew because they want them to hear and be afraid of what’s being said and done. And because of it, the king says, but the people were silent. They didn’t respond. When they were talked to from these men, they didn’t respond. They were silent and did not utter a word because hezekiah had commanded them, do not answer them.
[0:17:26] So what I’m telling you today, folks, is don’t argue with the devil. Don’t get into a debate with the enemy. It’s foolishness. Proverbs teaches us that only a fool talks to someone in their folly. You don’t try to reason with a fool in his folly, then you look like the fool. You’re a fool for trying. I mean, Twitter is full of it, right? Back and forth, just fools yelling back and forth at each other anyway, and not all of it is.
[0:17:58] I understand that. I use Twitter. So there you go. But here’s the letter starting in verse ten, and I want you to look at how the devil works, okay? Look with spiritualized this morning at this. This is what King Senecarib of Assyria says. What are you trusting in that makes you think that you can survive my siege of Jerusalem? What do you think you’re trusting in? So they’re saying, you honestly think that you can stand against us? You honestly think you have any power?
[0:18:37] I mean, that’s what they’re saying. Hezekiah had said, the Lord our God will rescue us from the King of Assyria. Surely hezekiah is misleading you, sentencing you to death by famine and thirst. And what is being screamed at us today? Everything. There’s a problem everywhere. There’s a shortage everywhere. In fact, it’s going to come out. I just saw a thing about this yesterday. They’re going to start telling us there’s a shortage on poly and it’s going to affect everything.
[0:19:11] And there’s a reason they’re saying that we’re going to starve to death. There’s a food shortage, you’re going to be thirsty, there’s not going to be water. We’re being threatened that if we don’t do everything that they tell us to do and bow to their siege that they have laid against us, that we’re being misled to stand against them, and that by doing so, we’re going to die of hunger and thirst. I mean, I recognize that all over the place.
[0:19:43] Don’t you realize now this is the king of hysteria talking. Don’t you realize that hezekiah is the very person who destroyed all the Lord’s shrines and altars? So he’s totally twisting the truth. Now, we’ve seen this a whole lot. Totally twisting the truth. Hezekiah went in and tore down every false idol and God, every false idol and God, and he’s calling that God, saying it’s his fault he tore down all the gods. And what’s he saying? What are they trying to say?
[0:20:17] You’re believing in all the wrong stuff. He tore down all the real gods. They’re saying, if you’re a Christian, you’re believing the wrong God. You guys don’t you’re not listening to all the right stuff. You’ve tore down everything that you should have built up. You should have left it there. You should have kept worshiping the things you were worshipping. You should have kept your hands and all that stuff.
[0:20:33] You shouldn’t be saved. You should be dabbling in all that stuff. They blame the complete innocent. One who’s done righteous. They get blamed. The righteous get blamed when it is the evil that they have tore down. It’s the evil they are fighting against. He commanded Judah and Jerusalem to worship only at the altar at the temple and to offer sacrifices on it alone. What’s he saying? He’s coming against the fact that we’re saying Jesus is the only answer.
[0:21:06] Our god is the only god. There is no God beside him. God says that of himself. And this king is saying, not true. You shouldn’t be doing that. You shouldn’t be listening to him. You shouldn’t be paying attention to what he says. You’ve done the wrong thing. You’re wrong. You’re not right. Your doctrine is wrong. You shouldn’t believe that. So deception, one of the first things the enemy does is he says he uses deception by twisting the truth.
[0:21:38] Right. He questions what you believe in by twisting what you believe in. Okay, those are kind of two and one. I’m calling those one. They’re kind of two and one. He totally says, what are you trusting in? You shouldn’t be trusting in that. And twists it and says, you’ve done it wrong. You’re totally wrong. So he brings in deception by twisting the truth. Let’s keep reading. Surely you must realize what I and the other kings of Assyria so he’s talking about all these kings, all the ones in power, all the ones who have made themselves, the ones that everybody should bow to and listen to what I and the other Kings of Assyria before me have had done to all the people of the earth.
[0:22:23] He says what’s he saying? This is a second tactic. He’s saying, look at my power. You’ve seen over the years how much power we have. Me and all those before me. Look at the power we’ve wielded. Hi.
[0:22:36] My name is Jamie Luce. I wanted to share with you some information about a brand new book entitled you Don’t Need Money, You Just Need God. It’s a playbook for miraculous provision, and I want to share it with you because it solves the problem we are all facing right now. The economy is going crazy. Gas prices are soaring.
[0:22:55] There’s wars and rumors of wars.
[0:22:58] We’ve got everything hitting us all at once. With interest rates rising, you need to know what to do. And so many times we think we need the money, but you don’t need money. I’m telling you, the answer is you need God. And that’s exactly what we want to teach you through this book we’ll give you practical ways to know what to do and how to do it so that you get answers. Now you can find my book on Amazon. You can also go to Jamieloose.com. You can also find this book at you don’t need money, you just need God.
[0:23:28] This book is available today.
[0:23:35] We were any of the gods of those nations able to rescue their people from my power. So what is he doing? He’s taking this is the third thing he does. He attributes the power of God to himself. Now what do I mean by that? If you look back at all the places that the kings of Judah and Israel, whenever they were defeated, it was because God decided that they needed to be humbled, that they were standing against God, not doing what God had commanded them to do. And because of it, God said, fine, I’m going to bring this king from the north and I’m going to bring this king from the south and I’m going to bring and God allowed them to do that. It was God’s power, God’s word that even instigated in the hearts of these kings to come to bring humility and remind the children of God who he really was.
[0:24:34] That was how it went. So what’s this king of Syria doing? He’s saying he’s the one who’s gone in and it was all of their kings who had the power and so he’s attributing God’s power to himself. Okay, so we see total distrust in twisting the truth. We see this man proclaiming his own power. This is what the enemy does, he proclaims his own power. Number three, he attributes God’s power to himself. Okay, let’s keep reading.
[0:25:12] Which of their gods so he’s talking about the children of Israel. Which of their gods was able to rescue its people from the destructive power of my predecessors? He’s saying, you name me anybody who is able to stand up against us. You name anybody which we know is not true. We have seen the body of Christ. Every time they come against the church, the church rises up. So it’s completely false. This is another lion twist.
[0:25:45] What makes you think your God can rescue you from me? Do you hear it again? What are you trusting in here? He says it again. What makes you think your God can rescue you from me? Don’t let hezekiah deceive you. Don’t let him fool you like this. So what’s the next tactic? He’s using fear and doubt. Fear and doubt? He wants you to trust in him and not trust in God. This is the enemy’s tactic. Even in the garden did God say the minute the enemy knows who you trust in, they have tactic of the enemy, of any enemy, whether it be Satan or worldly enemies, whatever the enemy is, what do they want to do?
[0:26:39] They want you to have doubt that what you actually believe is true. They want you to doubt your faith. They want you to doubt that what the Bible says is true. Look at the onslaught that is now coming against Scripture. People trying to say that it’s inerrant. I mean, that it’s not inerrant and that it’s ridicule. It’s full of holes and trouble and problems, and it’s not. I watched a program where what would you call it? It was in a college, and the speaker who was there was giving a basically a talk and took questions to answer the questions.
[0:27:21] : But he was able to refute through science, through scripture, and through just known facts, things that we already know, artifacts, actual natural artifacts, things that we have, things that are proven to answer back to these questions that people have against things. And it was amazing to see how one person’s argument and this is quite an argument out there that these men were not inspired by the Holy Spirit, that they had their own agendas, that they got together and wrote their books and that their stories contradict one another.
[0:28:03] Which was ridiculous, because any person, anybody, could go to an event. You ask ten different people what happened at that event and you’re going to get ten different perspectives on what happened at that event. One event happened, ten different people will come up with ten different things. They remember what they saw, what they heard, and they tell their perspective. So we might have something said one way in Matthew and it might be said slightly different, or something might be left out in Mark. They don’t contradict one another. They’re just telling you what they saw and what they heard.
[0:28:35] They’re not saying opposite things. They might say something that one of them missed. I didn’t see that. I don’t recognize you remember that. I didn’t remember. But that’s not wrong. That’s not something that makes you contradict what is the other person is saying. So we need to understand this is a tactic of the enemy. He just wants you to think, none of this is right, none of this is real. You should have doubts about this because that’s just not the way it is.
[0:29:05] You need to trust me. I know what the truth is. Isn’t that always amazing that someone always wants you? No, don’t believe them. Just believe me. There’s no more facts. There’s no more evidence, there’s no more proof. It’s just a matter of me saying, I’m the one who knows and you don’t, and you’re the fool because you don’t think like I do. Well, we have to know. What does the word say? That’s what we stand on. That’s what we don’t move off of.
[0:29:31] We know that our house, when the storms come, if we build on the rock, our home is secure. But if we build on the sand and we’re constantly on things that shift, we are not going to make it when the storm hits. We have got to be immovable. Immovable. Let’s continue reading. Let’s see. I’m in verse I’ll read 15 again. Don’t let hezekiah deceive you. Don’t let him fool you like this. I say it again. No God of any nation or kingdom has ever yet been able to rescue his people from me or my ancestors. Sounds like Goliath, doesn’t it?
[0:30:10] How much less will your God rescue you from my power? How much less? Such threats, such taunts of fear and doubt. And we have been bombarded by the fear mongering that we should be terrified. People locked up in their homes, taking their own lives because they are so afraid. A spirit of fear has been unleashed on the church and on the world, and we have to say, absolutely not. I will not fear. We are to be strong and courageous.
[0:30:45] We are so many times God said to his people, do not fear. Do not fear. Do not fear. We do not have to fear, folks. We can stand in victory and not have to fear. Let’s look at this. And shanikarb’s officers further mocked the Lord God and his servant. Hezekiah heaping insult upon insult. I want you to see this. This is number six. It is the bombardment, the constant bombardment of the attacks and assaults.
[0:31:28] They don’t stop. They don’t relent. They don’t let up. His officers further mocked the Lord God and his servant. Hezekiah heaping insult upon insult heaps. I mean, just pile it on. Just keep piling it on. Piling it on. Did you see that? Look at how the devil works. What does he do? The first thing he does? What are you trusting in? He gets your equilibrium off, makes you think, oh, I don’t know if I can do this.
[0:32:07] I don’t know if I have the faith for this. I don’t know if I can do it or not. Deception comes in with twisted truth. They exalt themselves in power. They mistakenly take the characteristics of God by saying that they are stronger and undefeatable. They give themselves the credit for what God’s power actually did. They bring fear and doubt, and they want you to mistrust in the one who you’re supposed to follow.
[0:32:41] And they continually bombard. I mean, continually bombard. So the Assyrian officials I’m sorry, let me continue. Verse 17. The king also sent letters scorning the Lord, the God of Israel. He wrote, just as the gods of all the other nations failed to rescue their people from my power, so the God of Hezekiah will also fail this wow. To rail against God. And I’ve heard myself people on CNN blasting. Blasting. God. And those who follow God, mocking.
[0:33:29] This heaping has been going on for three years, and it’s time we respond. It’s time that we have woken up and respond to the attacks and the threats and the taunts of the enemy. The lies, the bombardment, the fear mongering. We are those who can. Stand undefeatable, not the ones who are always defeated. We are the ones who have God a far greater power on our side. They are merely men. Merely men. We need to remember whose kingdom we stand with. There is a heavenly host who stands and fights God’s battles. He is the captain of the hosts of heaven.
[0:34:19] All right, verse 18. The Assyrian officials who brought the letters shouted in Hebrew to the people gathered on the walls of the city trying to terrify them so it would be easier to capture the city. Do you hear that? Why do they use fear? Because you’re easier to defeat when you’re afraid. You’re easy prey if you’re afraid. Folks, we do not have to fear. We do not have to fear mere men. We have God on our side who fights our battles, who does what no man can do.
[0:35:06] Now, in Second Kings, we see that he took this letter, King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah, and they laid this letter out before God and prayed and sought the Lord. And the Lord answered. So my encouragement to you today is regardless of what is coming against you, regardless of the onslaughts and the things that are happening around us, we simply lay it before God. Lay it before the Lord, and we pray.
[0:35:40] And the God who hears answers, the God who hears answers, and he hears us, folks, he tells us that his ear is listening. Now, we have to be in right standing with the Lord today. If you’re not it’s very simple, folks. If you’re not right with the Lord, do not be discouraged. I want to encourage you. I want to put faith in you today. I want you to realize you can shake off whatever was behind you today.
[0:36:09] If something has been attached to you and if you have not been doing it God’s way today, we can shake that thing off. We repent. We say, oh, God, forgive me. Forgive me for doing that. Forgive me of my sin. I repent. I turn my back on sin. I give my life to you, become Lord. I’m not just asking God to come and wash this away. And then I go on my merry way. I’m saying, no, I want you to be Lord of my life.
[0:36:39] You tell me where to go. We are supposed to walk in the same unity with Jesus Christ as you walk with the Father. What does that mean? That means I do what I see my Father doing, and I say what I hear my Father saying. I don’t just run off and do whatever I want to do. What made these kings good was the fact that they would seek the Lord with all their heart. They would follow the commands that God gave them.
[0:37:06] If God said do it this way, they followed those instructions, and they did it that way. And whenever they did, they were blessed and they conquered it’s. When they disobeyed and turned their backs on God, that they were defeated. It is that simple. It is that simple. If you want to have victory in your life, then you’re going to have to tell yourself, I’m not just going to do it the way I want to do it. I’m going to seek the face of God.
[0:37:33] I’m going to lay before Him whatever is facing me, whatever I need to do and decide on, and I’m going to do what God says do, and I’m not going to do it until he tells me to do it. I care what my God says. He’s, Lord of my life, I have given myself as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable. I have made a decision that I will live holy. I will consecrate myself. I will live the way God has ordained for me to live, to be an example.
[0:38:05] I am to feel what Jesus feels. I am to walk the way Jesus walked. When people see me, my hope is that they see the characteristics of God. Now, I’m not calling myself God. I’m saying I am to have the characteristics of the Holy Spirit because he resides in me. Don’t hear what I’m not saying. But you need to make sure that whatever you’re doing, that you are trying to hear what God is saying and get God’s directives on it and do it the way he would do it.
[0:38:35] It brings glory to God. That’s the power of the Holy Spirit. When I have invited the Holy Spirit to live in me, walk in me, move in me, have possession of me, that means that the fruit of the Spirit will be evident. Then what comes out of me will be peaceable. What comes out of me will be peace. Love, joy, kindness, goodness. I mean, patience. We’ve got to have all these things. Self control. I need to have the fruit of the Spirit evident in my life.
[0:39:07] You can check. You can check, folks. You can look and see. Am I getting it right? Because if you need to win a battle, god wants to win that battle for you. He wants to win that battle for you. And when I do it God’s way, I will win. I will have the victory. You can win. You can have the victory. You don’t have to be afraid of everything that’s happening. God can bring you the victory in every way, every part of your life, not just in the spiritual part of your life, in your natural life.
[0:39:40] In your natural life, folks, on the here and now, in flesh and blood, not just in the sweet by and by. God is good. He has good plans for you. He wants to prosper you. He does not have an agenda to harm you. His Word promises that I want us to look, let’s keep reading verse 20. Well, did I read all that to you? Let me finish. I’m going to go back to verse 18. The Assyrian officials who brought the letters shouted this in Hebrew to the people gathered on the walls in the city, trying to terrify them so it would be easier to capture the city.
[0:40:24] These officers talked about the God of Jerusalem as though he were one of the pagan gods made by human hands. This is their big mistake, because they’re threatening God, acting like he is just something made up, something they can make and do what they want with. They do not get the opportunity to manipulate God. Verse 20. Then King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah, son of Amos, cried out in prayer to God in heaven.
[0:40:54] And the Lord sent an angel who destroyed the Assyrian army with all its commanders and officers. So Senekarab was forced to return home in disgrace to his own land. And when he entered the temple of his God, some of his own sons killed him there with a sword. That is how the Lord rescued Hezekiah and the people of Jerusalem from King Senecarib of Assyria and from all the others who threatened them.
[0:41:29] So there was peace throughout the land. Folks, we have one response that we need to make. One response, and that’s turn to the Lord. No matter what you face, you turn to the Lord. He’ll instruct you. He’ll prick your heart about the things that he needs you to do. And what he expects from you. And your humility and willingness to do what God says to do is what will bring the victory, your obedience.
[0:41:58] You humble yourself before your God. You pray and you watch what God does. You watch what God does. He is a faithful God, a loving God. He wants you to win. He wants you to live a victorious life. I want to pray with you today and just stand with you. I want to stand with you today in prayer. I want to stand in agreement with you. Let’s be one in Christ today. Let’s be one. Join our hearts together in unity. Father, in the name of Jesus, we submit ourselves to you, God.
[0:42:41] We humble ourselves and recognize it is you who we serve and who is able that the gods of this world and the people who have set themselves up in power are just mere men or idols made with men’s own hands, wanting us to serve what cannot save. But you, Father, can save you. And you alone are God. And we submit ourselves to you today. We ask you for direction. We ask you for help. We ask you for your strategies. Show us what you would have us do, O God, that we might see you move on our behalf and bring about a victory.
[0:43:24] Send help to those listening today. God, send your help. If an angel needs to be sent with the word of God, send an angel today. Bring the victory, O God. Send the enemy home in shame the way that you did. The King of Assyria. Father, we ask that you would do what you have planned to do. We submit ourselves to your plan, your way, your will. And we say, God, you take the glory, we will give you all the glory.
[0:43:53] And we pray these things together in Jesus name, amen. Thank you so much for joining me today. I pray this was a blessing to you. Like and share folks, if you know people who are struggling, who are feeling weak, who are on shifting sands, about everything going on around us, they need some encouragement, they need courage put into them. And the words that hezekiah spoke to the people of Judah and Israel that day, they were able to take courage and strengthened it, did do what it needed to do. And we will understand that. There are many of us, we are strong. There are many of us standing saying, God, we’re ready. We’re ready to see you move. We’re ready to partner with you and do great exploits through the world, bring the souls that need saving to Christ and be able to finish our journey here on Earth well in victory.
